Dominos every time, The Meateor is just the best pizza around.

Although there's an independent place in Merthyr called Plas Coffi that do some beautiful pizzas, proper stone baked traditional Italian pizza. Recommended highly.

I like domino's but they don't do anchovies. Got to have them on a pizza

I like both but the dough they use in Papa Johns is better.

Both are massively over-rated and hugely over-priced. Shocking Value for money!

Must admit im not a huge pizza fan, but if I was id most prob just pick one up from Asda.

As for takeaway it would have to be Chinese Takeaway any day :ayatollah:

Best I ever had was sat outside a cafe opposite the Vatican in Rome.
Had a black coffee and a beer to go with it.

Papa johns,

I agree that they have gone very expensive but if you go when thier deals are on for example buy one get one free or any large for £6.99, it's not too bad. I used to love asda pizzas but for some reason they don't seem as nice now, bland and less topping! They always seem to not want to give much on the sauce and cheese side (perhaps I'm just greedy  ) but then again is cheap! I like Pizza Hut but for some reason it always seems expensive - perhaps I'm missing thier deals!

I mostly use dominos as I find it much Cheaper than going for a Chinese or Indian takeaway. Bearing in mind I'm careful on how much I order, usually for 2 people we get 2 dishes and 1-2 rice end of!

I heard a few people say that papa johns is much better so We tried it for ourselves yesterday! The verdict - really enjoyed it and big portion sizes. It cost me £10 approx for a large pizza, a massive cookie desert which wud do for 4 people and extra dips. The pizza was huge and the toppings were generous. Esp the cheese. The dough IMO was better than dominos, more fluffy but more filling. We were like pigs as we scoffed it all but it could have been enough for 3-4 people. The sauce is lighter and not as strong as dominos. The dominos tomato sauce is more bitter but not in a bad way. On the whole I think the dominos Tomatosauce may just edge it. All in all this is what I'd score them:

Portion size dominos 3/5 papa johns 5/5
Cost dominos 3/5 papa johns 4/5
Flavour dominos 4/5 papa johns 4/5. All in all 10/15 for dominos and 13/15 for papa johns.

Of course this is just my preference and opinion, others may disagree. Will still use both places though.

Before I moved away a few years ago, used to always order a Pizza king. Amazing deals! Great cheesy pizzas. Huge and cheap. Even square in the box, not wasting space there!

Best I ever had was in Naples where it originated from, nothing else comes close. Has to be a thin crust too. Naples a bit far for delivery to Cardiff though. Don't eat pizza much as its too nice and I would easily turn into a fat-bastard. I'm starving now.

Just to let you all know. If you phone up domino's and ask for the 50% off at £50 deal. Most domino's do this deal so well worth asking.

I used to be thin, the love of the pizza sought to change that over time :laughing6: :ayatollah:

The Red Onion was the best outside the Philly back in the early 1990s, think it moved to Caroline Street before it he disappeared.
