That equates to £20 k a week over 2 years ,and it's becouse he was a free signing
If there had been a fee involved I don't think we would of been prepared to pay £20 k a week wages aswell

How was it a free signing if he was contracted to West Brom. They didnt terminate his contract. :?:

Just look at the signings made by Aston Villa, Wolves, Newcastle or even Fulham......if billionaire Vinnie the Red really cared then we'd be investing a top players to improve our squad. The sale of Marshall on the cheap was the biggest indication of how much Tan cares.

Undisclosed fee.

HE MUST HAVE BEEN PAID UP OR GIVEN A SETTLEMENT AS HE WAS ON 42K A WEEK AT WBA AND THERES NO CHANCE WE ARE PAYING HIM THAT

You mention Aston Villa, but at the end of June they were reported to have been interested in signing Lambert. That deal apparently didn't go ahead, as WBA apparently wanted cover for Rondon.

See: http://www.90min.com/posts/3393724-asto ... ie-lambert

This suggests that we are targetting good signings, but just don't have the resources of the other recently relegated clubs.

he could be on a basic wage but HUGE BONUSES, a lot of teams have been doing it as a way to cut the wage bills.
