At the Reading game Lambert would have buried at least two of the three headers that went sailing over the bar :thumbup:

I would'nt be expecting miracles from him. He has only buried three chances in his last 44 league appearances. He may have buried them quite a few years ago, but he would probably arrived in the box quarter of an hour after the ball in the Reading game, even with our slow build up play. That was a joke by the way, but what I'm saying is that at his age and the lack of pace he has always had, us fans should'nt be expecting too much from him. He has'nt hit the net much since his Southampton days which is probably the reason he has not exactly been in huge demand in recent times. Hopefully he will knock in a couple for us.

Exactly, he might be nearing end of his career but he is a goal scorer, especially at this level.

most his last 44 appearances have been as a sub tho
