Probably good enough - won't have a huge overall impact anyway. on the whole our defence is pretty solid despite a shaky start. Wilson is decent too, just worries me we don't have a third in the event of injury or suspension.

How can yOu say it won't have a massive impact, surely you can only make that statement if the new keeper turns out to be as good as Marshall was

Marshall wasn't going to be the difference between mid-table or promotion was he. So what if this keeper lets a few more goals in, I think the defence is overall strong enough at its best to avoid Amos having a total onslaught every game. Even if he has shockers, we won't be relegation material.

well given the defenders we are supposed to have available, you would think we'd only lose by the odd goal, and given the start we have had, my guess is the keeper won't be the busiest but the defenders will cause more problems if they continue to make silly mistakes.

Defend from the front and we won't have to worry so much. Good front players take the pressure off defenders, we just don't have any good front players, although Fred needs to have a run and get the goal feeling.

Two decent strikers and we could have a semi-decent season. None brought in and it'll be all over for Trollope by November!

Wont have a huge impact not having Marshall Hmmmmmmm? Thats why he has been bought for the Premier League,is Scotland's NO1and has been our best player on the pitch over the years on many many occasions. A good goalkeeper is vital for a succesful team.

Sometimes players are not truly appreciated until they're gone, I know people in general think Marshall was great, but I think they underestimate just how much a loss he will be.

Bolton signed a new goalkeeper after they got relegated to play in front of Ben Amos, that doesn't exactly fill me with confidence. Simon Moore wasn't perfect but he showed some really good signs in some of his games, why didn't we keep him and give him a chance?

Impact on the team/league position, not impact between the goalposts.

Not saying Amos is a patch on Marshall, but he's good enough to do his job to a level we will stay up.
