I think PT naming Jim on the bench and calling him a goalscore is him hinting to the club that he'd like to keep him,or at the very least want to integrate him into the squad of they fail to get rid, opinions?

Calls him a goal scorer yet don't play him......Err how does that one work then or work it out for your self
My guess is he's on a app & goals scored bonus and tan don't want him playing. I mean come on anyone with half a brain cell knows freddy is not even half the player Alfie is on his day but fred is a tan signed player so I expect Trollope just goes with it. One of the main reasons he got the job and not a better manager on paper IMO.

I actually think he's trying to integrate him in before the international break with the idea that if he doesn't go he'll be used, there's no other reason for it otherwise,I know he wasn't used but that wouldn't be deserved but I bet u Alfie will be sharper in training this week cos he knows he could be playing soon

I agree with that. Putting him on the bench - after a week training with the first team - is an insurance policy.

Wigan Athletic have agreed a deal to sign Cardiff City striker Adam Le Fondre on loan, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Le Fondre has been frozen out of things at Cardiff this summer spending most of pre-season playing and training with the development squad with the club willing to let him move on.

High wages he was gonna go no matter what. But besides that, he don't want to be here, the manager didn't want him, and the fans never took to him. One player I will be glad to see the back of.

What did he say about the club? What was his problem

He hasn't really said anything apart of his desire to leave and find a club up North. But in my mind he was happy to just take his money without putting a shift in
