Dont we need two more strikers?

Sun Aug 28, 2016 11:20 pm

Say we get Laferty and he gets injured after a few games what then? Surely we need two strikers unless there is a clause to get Saddi back. :?:

Totally need two and they are players available such as Lambert who could transform our club's fortunes. But Vinnie the Red don't give a toss bruvvers......time for a massive TAN OUT campaign.

Be careful what you wish for in the absence of any real alternative to Tan ;)

He's made mistakes but he appears to have learned and is now putting the club on a level financial footing; yet some screamed for but appear willing to jeopardise in exchange for what is ultimately a 'personal' issue that has long since been resolved

Put bluntly, he simply can't win...but the club and its future viability can!

When will people realise the future of Cardiff City FC starts now and not 5 years ago?

Like him or not, Tan is sorting our finances out and (despite rumours to the contrary) I don't currently see Dalman or anyone else coming up with an acceptable proposal that is acceptable to the man currently in control

Maybe some now overly affected Cardiff City FC fans need to start looking to the bigger picture? ;) :ayatollah:

Great post! It still amazes me that people want to hound the current regime out for mistakes long since reversed, but with no alternative.

We most definitely need two more strikers and one with a bit of pace who can play on the last man IMO.
However, the club are showing nothing in the way of ambition to get promoted so I think one new striker will do for us to consolidate a mid table position in the league this season.

No point posting rational arguement on here Sven. Too many of our supporters are currently behaving with the emotional maturity of 5 year olds told that they cannot have any more sweets.

i agree 100% we have become to soft as a fan base we should be forcing him to sell

What we do need is a statement from the club to tell us what is going on
We were told that this season was going to be an exciting one for the club as the aim was promotion or play offs at least
You can't blame supporters for asking what the f**k is going on
All these words of happiness and hope came from within the club
If those words are no longer viable then the club had better come out with a statement and explain why they bullshitted us in paying up money to renew our season tickets
And the reason Jon Candy was stopped taking photographs was that they didn't like people seeing an empty stadium

You've answered your own question in the paragraph before last.

Forcing him to sell to whom exactly?

well at the end of the day thee are alot of ppl out there looking into english football hence villa and wolves being taken over by chinese groups as is wba the only stumbling block is tan thinks he deserves his money back after some school boy management by his team of cronies, i know hes lowered the debt but lets be honest he took them levels of debt far far higher than it had ever been and then it was him who sanctioned the transfers under ole so hes a fukin cheek to say we need to cleqar the debt, its his fukin fault were in debt

Couldn't agree more, some will ask for more honesty but it would be defeatist attitude to say we are going to sell a few players and staying in the division is our objective.

Good post Sven. I am all for our club being run in a sustainable manner. I suppose if the club were seen to be a bit more transparent in their actions and communicated their intentions with the fans it would make it easier to develop a more trusting relationship. Honesty is definitely the best policy.

Be careful what you wish for in the absence of any real alternative to Tan ;) The bigger picture is selling assets on the cheap and making cuts to prepare the club for sale ......once Tan has taken the last parachute. He's destroying our club and what better evidence than Marshall's cheapo price tag?

Wigan Athletic have agreed a deal to sign Cardiff City striker Adam Le Fondre on loan, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Le Fondre has been frozen out of things at Cardiff this summer spending most of pre-season playing and training with the development squad with the club willing to let him move on.
