Tans Dream/Problem

Sat Aug 27, 2016 1:09 pm

Let me first say that I have never been one to publicly slate Tan as I think he done some good when he very first bought the club as we were definitely heading for administration then.

However he bought the club for all the wrong reasons and that is the problem.

After a trip to Wembley he bought the club, he had a dream of Tans club succeeding and that's the problem, he didn't see it as CCFC succeeding.

Tans club were in the premiership and played in red, and were a force in Europe let alone the UK, that was his dream.

He didn't do his homework on CCFC and he wouldn't have done it for any other team that could have been playing at Wembley that day, because it was always a dream.

His dream failed due to him not recognising the biggest asset he had acquired - the fan base, his dream allianated that fan base and slowly but surely they left.

Tans realised his dream was exactly that a dream, and then his business brain kicked in, he was honest when he said he wouldn't invest much more in the club if we went back to blue, because his dream had gone.

I thank you Tan for saving us from administration, I thank you for constantly (and I believe still) putting thousands in a month for balancing the books, I thank you for debt to equity you have given us, and also for the £8 million a year to make us debt free over the next 4 years.

However I or even we cannot forgive you for the dream of it being your team, it should have always been OUR (you included) Team, if only you could have seen that.

I hope in the mean time that you are working in the background to finding us a decent buyer and that you leave us in good hands, a buyer that does want a team capable of playing at the top, with the finances to enable US to do it, one that recognises the clubs history and its fans, ultimately culminating in others thanking you for what you have done, and I'm starting to wish that's done sooner rather than later.
