It's Not Rocket Science -Striker

It's not rocket science but the club seem intent on ignoring a proven goalscorer. Hopefully there will be some development over the next few days.

In 2010/11 Bothroyd was top scorer with 18 goals ( inc cup)
2011/12 Whittingham 13 goals
2012/13 Helguson 9 goals
2013/14 Campbell 9 goals
2014/15 Jones 15 goals
2015/16 Pilkington 9 goals

The funny thing is that Jones was ignored for large chunks of the season and fans got on his back for not running around the field like a headless chicken. It is quite clear that the club has not had a prolific goal scorer for some time and goals win matches. Why not invest a few million on a decent striker and our fortunes may change. Nearly every team going up has a proven goalscorer (Cardiff being an exception in 12/13). There is no doubt that last season we would have made the play offs had we had one.
