What's the future for David Marshall?

Paul Trollope was asked about whether signing a new keeper would have a knock-on effect for David Marshall and whether he could leave which is what people might think.

Here is his response.

That is normal practice when you come towards the end of a window, I have been through a few of these with David and a few of our other players.

We have players who would be attractive to teams and you are not going to stop speculation and things being written or spoken about. But, as with players coming, I am not going to speak about individuals, until or if things happen.

I think any manager or coach would want to keep their best players, but all players have their value whether you are at the top of the Premier League or the bottom of League Two. But we are also aware of the value of those players.

Marshall's brother works on the same job as me in Scotland. His manager is my colleague who told me about 3 days ago that Hull have come in for him. Maybe nothing in it, just saying what I've heard.
