Wonder if Vinnie will let us know how he's feeling at the end of the season?

Our platform will be no different at current rate (last year of Parachute Payments) and the three Desperados who have come down this year will simply be replaced by three even richer and more desperate ones (thanks to the new PL contract) next year!

Sven problems will multiply for rich and poor teams! as only 3 go up more clubs will be in financial trouble if don't go up after 2 seasons? Then poor clubs will yo yo with div 1 clubs for promotion and relegation, can see a premier 2 league in years to come unless sky start reducing contract for premier league to stop devide.

Premier League 2 has been bandied about for a while and I seem to recall Sam being desperate for us to be promoted from (now) League 1 to make sure we were part of it when/if it occurred![]()
I think the Sky thing is starting to reach its peak and future contracts will have to be trimmed or re-arranged. One solution may well be the introduction of an effectively 'franchised' Premier League 2 with entry to it carrying certain tough finance-based criteria
I've said it before (and once asked Andy Gray the question) but I think the future of football in this country will become a franchise-style system with clubs being allowed entry on where they are located for crowd and commercial purposes rather than the current (to an extent) meritocracy we enjoy
One thing is for sure, I'll support Cardiff City FC through thick and thin but I won't hang around if they end up as a regional mix of clubs out simply to satisfy the increasingly over-influential powers that are called Sky Broadcasting!

Yes can see it going bit like that with premier/sky cherry picking bigger teams to enter possible rangers/celtic!!! And leave clubs like us (maybe ) in limbo?

Allan, at that point it there would simply be no point in competitive football as we knew it!
