Mine was 82/83 season fantastic trips that will always stick in my mind. Portsmouth away 0-0 they were top of the league we were second. Millwall away think it was a sunday start of the season we won 4-0. Atmosphere in these games were second to none bristol rovers away final game 1-1. We lost a few on the road lincoln stands out loads of us in a transit van not sure how we all got in those transits but these days you wont get away with it

.... Chesterfield away some of us went the night before (friday night) hit the night clubs. Chesterfield had a disco in the afternoon (wagon pub) We took over the place. Our fans robbing pringle jumpers

Our fans swinging from chandeliers in pub.

It has to be 1957-58 season for me
We were relegated the season before and we made a very slow start to the season
However we suddenly hit form
We beat Barnsley 7-0 Stoke 5-2. and Liverpool 6-1
Our run was too late however and there was only 2 promoted and no play offs
The following season we got promoted

Spread over different seasons but going away on the football special train. Leicester early 81. The train pulled into Leicester station the Cardiff fans went onto the station as one. A huge roar went up under the big roof "Cardiff boys we are here". Awesome.

75/76 promotion season from division 3. Our family moved up to Cardiff during the season, and it was brilliant. All sorts of non-football reasons made that a momorable time as well. Jimmy Andrews was manager, Tony Evans and Adrian Alston up front, Phil Dwyer, and many more. 35k, (officially), at home to Hereford, clinching promotion at Bury. Wonderful days!

The Toshack/Clarke era was my favourite, including our European nights of the late 60's, early 70's.

92/93 no question!

75/76. Partly to do with age I suppose. Closely followed by last month of the 07/08 season - Never have I felt so good to be a city fan.

75/76 definitely.
Proper fun times with no doom & gloom.
Being 18 probably helped !!

10/11, from having something like 8 senior players and a small budget we really shocked a lot of teams, made the play offs when we should been contenders for relegation and a final in the Carling Cup.

Some good memories from the 03 season

I try enjoy every season (even the real strugglers) but 1992/93 will always sit right up there.
Eddie May's Barmy Army and some impressive players (Stant et al) made it a pleasure to be at the old ground in some great atmospheres!
The Lennie Lawrence 'QPR Play-off Final' year was pretty good, as were both initial years under Malky (Carling Cup Final followed by Premier League promotion)

Same for me being a kid they were my heroes, also the 86 season was the year I introduced my son to the pleasures of being a City fan so to spend time with him and see his enthusiasm was magic for me.

Cant remember what year it was but it was the season when I was introduced to a certain well known chap from Cwmbran way who had me by the throat in the car park against Wolves.. 84/85 I think? Fair play he apologised and shook my hand the next time he saw me..

75/76 with Alston, Evans and Willie Anderson upfront. The Hereford match infront of 35000 was superb.
I first went down in Toshacks last season and was also at the Real Madrid match, I have many great seasons and many crap ones, but the 75/76 team is the one I look back on as my particular favourite.

1967/8 and the ECWC games. Don Murray, Tosh, Brain Clark. You can tell the generation of fan by certain chants and anyone my age or older remembers "we want Dean"! After that as others have said.......1975/6 and the most exciting team of my era with great attacking football and the basics of any good team in terms of sound basics going up the spine of the team. Mike England as a former world class defender playing in second gear and then through midfield to two incredible young strikers. Even the kit was brilliant.

Getting old - just remembered - Doug Livermore was the midfield general in 75/76 and the much under-rated key.
What a season. If that team had been developed it could have been straight promotions to the old first division. Off topic a bit but much of the terrace culture of later years goes back to that season, which hasn't had the right attention in the books that deal with such stuff

Good point, about the terrace culture, and very true. 75/76 was a landmark season, in so many ways. It's still my compass, for following the City.
