TRANSFER LATEST TUESDAY 23RD AUGUST 2016

Wilfried Bony - Sky sources are telling us West Ham are interested in the Manchester City striker. We're told City are listening to offers.

Daryl Janmaat - West Ham have also been linked with the Newcastle defender. His manager Rafa Benitez says the Dutch international could leave St James' Park.

Tyler Blackett - The Manchester United defender is being targeted by Reading, the Championship club's manager Jaap Stam has confirmed. The 22-year-old didn't appear last season for United - spending four months on loan at Celtic. Blackett watched Reading's 2-2 home draw with Brighton on Saturday from the stands.

TRANSFER LATEST

Right then, you might be settling down for dinner, heading home from work, setting off for work perhaps, so let's have a recap of today's transfer news.

Claudio Bravo - Sky sources are telling us a deal to take Bravo from Barcelona to Manchester City could be done on Thursday. We're told an agreement with Barca is close and that City are hopeful the player could fly to Manchester later this week. The fee for the goalkeeper will be around £17m.

Shkodran Mustafi - Guillem Balague says Valencia do not want to sell and are saying he won't go. The Spanish club, however, do need the money as they're 10m euros short of complying with FFP rules. Their preference is to keep Mustafi and raise the cash by selling other players. Arsene Wenger remains hopeful a deal can be struck and negotiations continue. The player himself has agreed in principle to make the move.

Kalidou Koulibaly - Our Sky colleagues in Italy say the defender hasn't signed a new contract and Napoli want to keep him. We're told there's a 90 per cent chance he's going to stay.

Marko Marin - We're told a deal to take Marin from Chelsea to Olypiakos is close to being finalised. The fee is reported to be £2.6m. The German midfielder arrived at Stamford Bridge in a £7m deal from Werder Bremen back in 2012.

ROMAGNOLI BID REJECTED

Chelsea have seen a £30m bid for centre-back Alessio Romagnoli rejected by AC Milan, according to Sky in Italy.

It is understood the Serie A club do not want to sell the 21-year-old Italy U21 international in this window.

Romagnoli joined Milan for £21m last summer from Roma, making 34 starts in the Italian top-flight last season, and the country's press have even compared him to some of the great Milan defenders such as Alessandro Nesta and Thiago Silva.

The Blues had targeted Napoli's highly-rated centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly, but Sky
