' CARDIFF CITY CLEARING THE DECKS.. TAN MUST NOW '

Give the green light to spend, I'm sure if the right player for the right price came up, city would spend.

With two more players for city to try and move on Le Fondre and Macheda, Macheda linked with a possible move out, Trollope will now be able to move for 3,4, maybe even 5 new players, one or two of them loans maybe.

Has city's spending stopped for good under Tan? or is it lesson learnt from Tan and others at the club and once, as he sees it the over paid rubbish, that he wasted millions on over the years finally leave! will city invest again on what they see are the right players to take the club forward.

These next 9 day's or so will show us the intent and ambition, after the last 24 months or more of a clear out, I agree with a lot of you that say we are 2/3 good players away from a good squad that can push for playoff's, but to get those city will need to spend again..

I think 2 maybe 3 players in including a possible loan but I can't see 4 or 5. Hopefully Macheda goes but if the other two get their contracts paid up city will be paying out and I can't see that being good news for incoming players. We desperately need some pace and attacking options.

On most loan situations the parent club pays a percentage of their players wage, with no emergency loan window this year surely premier teams will want to get as much dead wood out and maybe even pay 50% or a bit more of their wage as long as they get game time, I believe that's where we should be looking if we're not prepared to spend on transfers!

While we are still clearing the debt down I can't see anything big coming our way.

we'll have to wait and see what happens, but it is extremely unlikely that we will spend significantly this summer, otherwise we would have done the deals in july or early august. we may sign a player for £2-3m but that does not buy you much anymore.

we are having to live within our means, and it seems tan will not subsidise large losses, which is his right as owner. however, promotion is clearly unlikely, with other rival clubs spending more than ever before. we may have more money to spend next year when a raft of dead wood solskjaer signings are released, but until them they remain on large wages which continue to drain our limited resources.

in my opinion, we are at least 4 quality signings away from top 6. proven quality costs money, though. it is likely we are back to wheeling and dealing, which can be a bit of a lottery.

I'd say we need a attacking mid and a striker,I'd keep Harris at wingback and drop Richards and I think we could be on for a promotion push

Our squad at the moment is a team that will just short of the play offs. It's all about correct management. All we need is a striker and another pacey winger and we've got every chance at making the top 6. Stating the obvious I know!

I agree that's the frustrating thing the fans can see what's needed but the management can't

Wez I'm sure they do but are relying on what we have to survice until at least January! Then take look at where we are then?

Exactly. It's clear as day another striker is needed, Gounongbe hasn't had enough time yet but doesn't look like the man that will get more than 10 goals a season.

We all say about a striker - which yes we do.

However a fkin static, deep, lateral passing midfield don't help our attacking options. Would a striker even work given our midfield lack of creativity and ambition?

Just about sums it all up except we wont be spending anywhere near £2 million on anybody.
