RUFC - Boss Pleased With Both Debut Players


Rotherham United started today`s game at home against Brentford with two new players in the ranks. Izzy Brown, who is on loan from Chelsea and Cardiff City loanee Tom Adeyemi were handed debuts.

Both players did well but Adeyemi was subbed at half-time with Millers Manager Alan Stubbs telling Radio Sheffield that he got an injury.

'I thought he was doing well too,` Stubbs said, 'but he`s got a thigh injury. We`re hoping it`s not going to be serious.

'I think we actually got him off before it turned worse. We think it`s a slight strain.

'I thought Izzy`s performance showed a lot of promise of what`s to come.

'He tired towards the end but I think that was only natural of what was going to happen. He certainly gives us a different element to our game. He`s got a lot of quality and we`re going to enjoy him while we can.

'We`ll be giving him an opportunity to perform home and away and I think he`s going to be a good fit into the squad.`

Same old Adeyemi gets a start gets injured. Think that is what's hampering is progress otherwise could be a decent player imo
