An exchange of opinions means that the players had a few words for Trollope to digest as well, wonder what they could have said
Paul Trollope has credited a frank half-time discussion in the Cardiff City dressing room for the remarkable turnaround that saw his side rescue a point at Craven Cottage.
The Bluebirds were comprehensively outplayed in the opening period and had not registered a shot on target before wonderful goals from Joe Ralls and Anthony Pilkington turned the tide.
Trollope was frustrated with that listless opening 45 but wondered whether fatigue had played its part.
He said: “A lot of things were said in the dressing room at half-time, by myself, by the staff, by the players, we knew we were better than what we showed.
“We were disappointing in the first half, a little bit passive on and off the ball. We didn't play to our capabilities but credit to everyone there was turnaround, we managed to get on the front foot. I'm pleased with the two goals.
“Credit to Fulham, they showed why they've started the season well. They pass it well, technically they're good and we knew it was going to be a tough challenge for us, but we judge ourselves on our own standards and our own play and we didn't quite get it functioning in the first half.
“So we looked a few of the processes, how we could tweak things and get on the front foot and evolve and we managed to do that. That's credit to the players because that was the third game in six days after a big effort the other night, so it was a day less recovery. Whether that was a contributing factor to the flat first half, maybe, but we showed our physical and mental strength.”

As long as it's done professionally then no problem.
Surely we've all got more respect for someone who embraces feedback

The problem is when the people making suggestions have more impact on the group than the manager, that's when the rot starts to set in,a worrying trend I'm afraid and so early into Trollope reign
