Pep Guardiola will let Joe Hart leave Manchester City if he asks to go - but believes the goalkeeper will improve if he stays to fight for his place.

It's a toughie for Joe Hart, Annis and it was well discussed on Talk sport yesterday afternoon. He'll certainly improve under Pep Guardiola (good for England in the long-term) but it will certainly cost him his international place in the short term

If he goes, where does he go that is 'better' than Man City in stature and trophy-winning terms? Only a handful of clubs can offer him the same potential and most of those are well equipped in the goalkeeping department

I guess the question is whether Pep buys another keeper before the window closes, as Caballero is already ahead of him in the pecking order. If a new guy arrives, then I think Hart should ask him to hold the taxi and head for the exit immediately

Guardiola playing a blinder here, as he's told Joe Hart to "ask" for a transfer, if he feels he doesn't want to be up for the fight and that firmly leaves any fall-out from fans heading in Joe's direction. Very clever indeed :ayatollah:

It must be personal by Pep, perhaps he thinks Hart as to much influence in the dressing room. Because everyone can see for all his errors he is far better than Caballero

It's all about his attitude, nothing to do with ability,Hart thought he was undropable, pep wants him to fight for his place, easy option is for him to just leave to be number one at another club, time will tell what Hart does

Cabellero is a very poor keeper. No where near Hart's ability, it's purely to force him out of the club as he's the highest paid keeper in the world so they can bring in Bravo.

to be honest, I think if he goes out to Italy, that would be the best option for him.
