' CHEEKY BID FOR DAVID MARSHALL '

Sky Sports

Marshall is being strongly linked with a move to Fulham but would £2.5m be enough? Hasn't more (reportedly) been offered before this summer?

Marshall has to be worth more than the reported amount offered by our Championship rivals.

Marshall is a premier league keeper. Deserves a move to a big club if fee is over 5 million. Fulham can do one if they think 2.5 million is enough.

Perhaps he hasn't scored enough goals and so Tan will be happy to sell him!

I'm guessing others are looking at our recent actions and maybe seeing 'desperation' :(

That drives down prices and this will be a good (or bad) indicator of where our real ambitions lie ;)

sadly Sven that seems to be the case what a cheeky offer :o in my humble opinion I think Marshall is worth 6 mil+ with all the goals he saves us each season,I really think if it weren't for him last season we would've finished a lot lower down :thumbright:

Well IF this did happen, for 2.5 million, then I guarantee the next home game would attract a crowd of about 7.000.

Has it not occurred to Fulham, or anyone else, that Marshall didn't press for moves to Premier teams so why would he want to go to a mid-table Championship club !!??

Rick, I know that Marshall is not looking to go and would only consider a move to a Premier League side where he would be first choice and able to maintain his Scotland place (that's massively important to him) and if a cheeky Fulham bid was accepted, then it would be Marshall being pushed through the door and not the other way around ;)

Having said all that, I guess no one can blame Fulham for putting in a bid. That is in reality going to happen and it's a compliment to Marshall and his performances, which is then good for Cardiff City FC (on the field)

I am of the opinion that Marshall won't be going anywhere and that any bids of this stature will be laughed off. The sale of Simon Moore would also indicate that Marshall is likely to stay

Only time (and maybe a much higher bid) will tell, but the signs are good (for City and its fans) :ayatollah:

Wez, I'm just reading it was BEN MARSHALL they're interested in! LOL

More importantly for Marshall is that his wife and family love Cardiff and that means more to him than many on here will understand or appreciate :ayatollah:

Not at 2.5m, I don't think that's great value at this point in the season. 3.5m and Id sell though.
