Do you actually know he's blocking us signing a striker or are you just surmising
Thought it was common knowledge we have to get the three millionaires who have no future with us out before we can bring in player/ players

How about Dalamann/Choo blocking us spending substantial money on a striker until we sell one or two of alf/macheda/dickachoi/pilkington/manga. Not as sensational or in fitting with some peoples "emperor Tan" view, but a bit more realistic and sensible.

I actually support tan and am not anti tan. But fabio has gone so bringing in a striker should be priority over gettin more off the wage bill imo. 1 money signing not alot to ask for off the billionaire and we can still work on moving the rest on in the process

I honestly think Trollope would have gone for Tom Bradshaw if Tan hadn't brought in Fred and Zohore. Trollope probably didn't want either of them and now he's blocked from bringing anyone else in until we offload players first.

But seriously, how can any manager assemble a decent squad and succeed for us when working for our clueless transfer committee who have no idea about football?

Bradshaw would have been better than the 2 named above ( IMO ).

I know its a joke that we are lumped with zohore and fred that is blocking us signing a striker too and that is the owner and transfer commitees fault, we got the alf and macheda problem but we should have signed 1 proper proven goalscorer instead of 2 unknown foreign gambles. SHAMBLES

I disagree, Fred and Zohore were clearly Tan signings and Jazz Richards was clearly a Trollope signing, which Tan only approved because he wants more Welsh players in the team (which is fine).

The difference is Trollope obviously wanted Jazz Richards and that signing obviously went through the transfer committee. But Fred and Zohore are obviously Tan signings. Do you really think those 2 signings went through the transfer committee and Trollope had any say?

Tan's ego with his "I will supply my strikers, I know best" attitude has restricted Trollope being able to bring anyone else in and this could once again cost us having that goal scorer we need to challenge this season.

If I were Trollope I'd be telling everyone that Jazz Richards was a Tan signing!

If Trollope was the one who wanted to sign Richards then serious questions have to be asked about his judgement.

Did you even read my post? I will ask you again, do you think Trollope was allowed to have any say in Fred and Zohore joining us, bearing in mind Trollope wasn't even confirmed manager before 1 of these players was brought in?

If trollope wasn't there for 1 of them that is nothing to do with him then! as for your question in general yes I do think he had say same as with jazz, then that's my opinion which guess doesn't fit in with yours?

why not lets speculate when we know fk all of the reasoning/decision....

If it come out on here that Tan wanted to buy a striker and Trollope refused some people would still find a spin on it ffs

Basically all the bad signings are Tan's. Even if a manager talks about signing them and tracking them for months it's still quite tan signing :laughing6:

Ross, you wrote "Trollope wasn't even confirmed manager before 1 of these players was brought in" but Trollope was already part of the club and had already been sounded out for the top job, so it is reasonable top assume he had some input in all this summer's signings! ;)

People are (sadly) correct when they say anything negative at the club these days is all down to Tan and anything even remotely positive is in spite of him

We can't have it all ways. We wanted the debt cut, now we want him to spend fortunes on average players. We wanted the blue back, we got it and still fans don't turn up; so it's fair to say there must be other reasons for people going back on their stated words. We demanded Slade Out, we got that and now people are slating Trollope and his (successful for Wales) tactics after two games of a new season!

Time some people started getting real and getting behind the club and what Paul Trollope (maybe even Tan himself) is trying to achieve in the longer term! :ayatollah:
