Sheffield Wednesday chairman Dejphon Chansiri has released a statement regarding the future of unsettled striker Fernando Forestieri in which he says "under no circumstances will we be selling our best players."

All the power is with the players nowadays, whether you think that's a good or bad thing is up to you.

What can the club do if the player wants to leave? If they refuse they have an unhappy player who doesn't try their best and can adversely affect dressing-room morale, whilst draining money from the club in wages for which the club is getting little or nothing in return.

FA/League/UEFA should put all professional football players on flat rate per week depending on league and league position, then provide performance pay - that'll improve things or let the players feck off to China, USA and other leagues, which they won't because 95% are not good enough.

At least they've got some 'best players', we haven't got many that are worth any money, maybe Manga and Marshall?

All clubs will sell their best players if they get what they consider the right price?
