What a sad death for a very good footballer. How can someone lose their life, when the Police respond to an incident, where they are concerned for a man's safety.

He had kidney problems according to relative! Always Was bad move to expand the amount of police able to use these things , easier to use than physically restraining people who might be difficult or aggressive!

He kept "advancing" at the police after twice being told to stop.
Police were called to the area as he had attempted to murder his OWN father (tried strangling him) and also claimed he had murdered 2 other people (brother and sister).
No evidence taser killed him as he lived for some time after (could have had an affect though).
No fan of the Police, but there are 2 sides to every story. So not surprised they restrained him in such a way.

Not the right time to be commenting/debating the use of a Taser, as we don't yet know the full facts on this incident and to say it was "bad move to expand the amount of police able to use these things" is not to understand the current climate
Simply a sad situation for all concerned with Dalian Atkinson and my thoughts are with his family
