' LATEST NEWS ON CCFC TRANSFERS '

Paul Trollope on transfers

On incomings...

We’re still actively looking to strengthen the squad, nothing’s changed over the pre-season period, we knew which areas we needed to strengthen and we’re still hoping to do some business before the window shuts. We’ve got targets, I think it becomes a bit of a manic time the last two/three weeks, a lot of things will change in clubs around us and above us that may change our situation as well. We’ll be ready and very keen to strengthen.

On outgoings...

[on offers for players] Not at the moment, no. There are a few within the squad that we’re open to offers for, that’s not changed either so we’ll see what happens before the window.

Looks like Dikachoi, Alf & Macheda are going to sit out their contracts, perhaps 1 will leave but do not envisage all three leaving!

That's exactly what I think, & we all know what the consequences of that will be!

Dikachoi, Alf & Macheda really need to have a look at themselves as it seems clear no one wants them including us so
you would think they would want to have a go with us now but they clearly have the attitude to go with their lack of talent

Terminations need to be mutually agreed quickly, VT & co have done it many times before, we all know. I sure it would be cheaper in the long run, or else they going to financially "strangle" City untill next June!

You would think professional pride would encourage them to find new clubs even if it meant reduced wages (all 3 of them are likely to be millionaires and not short of a bob or two)

But it would appear they can't be arsed which is why with an attitude like that they have not fulfilled their potential...to be honest it's a bit pathetic on their part...washed up in their late 20s (earlier in Machedas case)

I agree but ultimately the club is to blame for giving them such ridiculous contracts.

I think many clubs would be willing to take a punt on ALF and Macheda (not sure about Dikgacoi) but would not be willing to pay anything like the wages of their current contracts,

i must admit after yesterday i would give macheda and ALF a go i know what others might say that they haven't done it in the past but surely they would pose some sort of danger to defenders and give us something to cheer plus it would put them in the shop window

Ironically, the best player to replace O'Keefe would have been Dikagcoi ( if fit). He did an ok job in the first half of last season

But hey ho let's give them another chance for the first team
When will our fans wake up
They are useless over paid under performers

Yep agree with you mate, growing older knows no friends, they will look back at their careers and wonder why they wasted such a marvellous opportunity, I would loan them out to Accrington Stanley, Cheltenham or Bogwash utd, John Toshack once said he would walk on glass to play for Cardiff City, when Liverpool released him, that's the attitude we need from players not greedy lazy nonos that lets face it NOBODY wants ! :bluebird:
