Trollope Trollope confident Frederic Gounongbe will come good...

Sunday 14th August 2016

The Head Coach isn’t concerned by the misses against Birmingham and Bristol Rovers

Frederic has been good this week, we have spoken about the miss on a couple of occasions and done some working on looking at it, It had never happened to him before in his career, he is a good honest boy and I though his contribution was decent.

He is still adjusting to the British game and the tempo and intensity of it.

We were pleased with his performances during pre-season and to be fair he did at least get into the position to miss, which is a good thing. It is one of those instances that no-one likes to see and it would have changed the game for us, but these things do happen.

He probably took his eye off it a little bit but he is an intelligent and mature boy.

He knows that happened and the technical reasons for it, sometimes in those situations things fly through your mind and maybe he was away celebrating before he’d put it in the net.

It was frustrating but he is fine, he has trained really well and he is ready to bounce back and grab a goal against QPR.

He will score a hat trick and all is forgotten. :ayatollah:

the reason it's such a horrible atmosphere at ccs is because fans will look for negatives before looking to support the team. this player has been judged on 2 games. Hudson wasn't good for entire season when he signed. get behind everyone.

I'm not so sure that Trollope will come good, let alone any of our players.

To be fair to any striker on the planet, if they played in that side today they would not have made a difference to that game, a striker needs service and there was none. Can't fault the effort of chasing a lost cause though.

The midfield Balance is wrong, whether this is the players getting used to a system or just pure lack of quality I don't know, but I would have taken ralls off and left immers on.

I didn't think much of ralls Tuesday either to be fair but again this might just be getting used to a new system as I like ralls as a player. But once again, as we have done for the last couple of seasons, for me we are missing a midfield general to control the game.

Totally agree yes we need a striker but we may have him but the midfield is all wrong

The formation clearly doesn't help Immers and Pilks. We need to ditch wingbacks asap.

I agree system don't help pilks or lex as play out postion we nred get rid wing back and play pilks left wing and lex in number 10 role we have more of ago at teams then

After watching today, we also have a lack of pace in the team and jack of quality in midfield. First half we crossed in some great balls but no one on the end of them. We seemed to lack numbers in the area.

Only come good if give him proper service to his feet and midfielders backing him up! !
