' PAUL TROLLOPE & JIMMY HASSELBAINK '

Cardiff City v QPR today

Paul Trollope: “It’s a condensed period but it’s a good one, two home games represents a really good opportunity for us. Sunday and Wednesday comes thick and fast. We want to get off to a quick start at home and then have a chance again on Wednesday. We want good home form, we had a decent strength at home in terms of results, even the couple we lost were a bit harsh.

"It’s always important, home form has to be right and we have to pick up enough on road to balance it. There’s a confidence in group we will be able to do that.”

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink: “It’s going to be tough for different reasons to the two games before it. They’re a good side and it will be a difficult game, as they all are in this division. They play similar to Swindon in terms of their tactics. We will have to really work hard off the ball, as well as on it.”

QPR boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is hoping his side's approach fits the bill as they hit the road for the first time this season.
The Hoops are unbeaten so far, having eased to a 3-0 win at home to Leeds last weekend before edging past League One Swindon on penalties in the EFL Cup at Loftus Road in midweek.
They travel to Cardiff in the Sky Bet Championship on Sunday, with Hasselbaink expecting a tough test.

'It's going to be tough for different reasons to the two games before it,' Hasselbaink said

'They play similar to Swindon in terms of their tactics. We will have to really work hard off the ball, as well as on it.
'We need to really learn from the two performances so far and make sure our attitude and mentality are right. That is the key when you play away from home.'

Summer signing Joel Lynch is a doubt for the clash after he suffered an abdominal strain on his debut against the Robins.
Hasselbaink is likely to revert to the side which beat Leeds, meaning Steven Caulker, Jake Bidwell, Tjaronn Chery, Sebastian Polter and Alex Smithies will return.

Cardiff could hand a debut to Emyr Huws following his move from Wigan on Friday.

The 22-year-old Wales international penned a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee and is raring to go.
I'm chuffed to be back in south Wales and really happy to join a big club like Cardiff.
'I know most of the coaching staff from Wales, and can't wait to join up with the boys now and get started.'

I'm not confident about today's game, hope I'm wrong, but the problems we've had over the last season or two have still not been addressed.

I watched QPR v Leeds last week and Jimmy Floyd seems to be building a decent squad

He does

Isn't it funny though how other clubs managers can be "building a decent squad" but Cardiff City FC managers simply HAVE to hit the ground running?! ;)

Unfortunately our fans are no different to anyone else's - demand instant success for their own team, yet acknowledge the good work being done at other clubs when managers are given time to work on long term projects.

Didn't realise Caulker had gone back to QPR. Here's hoping he doesn't get lucky again and bag a move to the PL before the end of the summer. Never had a bad opinion of him when he was with us (besides some damn bad concentration at times!), but this guy is the flukiest guy in football, and I have no idea how he keeps landing moves to big teams.

Be interesting to see what reaction he gets. Did get us a winner over the Jacks, but jumped ship as soon as he could. Might be 50/50.
