FABIO DA SILVA SAYS GOODBYE TO CARDIFF CITY & ITS FANS

I would like to thank every single person on this club and city that welcomed me very well for almost 3 years.

I had great moments in this city, happy memories, my second daughter was born here and it is with a lot of respect and admiration that I wrote this goodbye text. Thank you very much for all the people from the staff that were always wonderful and helped me out a lot during these years. And last and most important is my goodbye to our amazing supporters and fans, thank you so much for all the support over the years. I will never forget it!

Queria agradecer cada pessoa desse clube e dessa cidade que me recebeu tão bem nesses quase 3 anos, passei momentos importantes da minha vida aqui, o nascimento da minha filha foi um deles, e com grande respeito e admiração que venho me despedir, muito obrigado aos funcionários do clube que me ajudaram durante esse tempo, e obrigado especial ao torcedores que sempre me apoiaram. #bluebirds #cardiffcity @cardiffcityfc

Good of him to write that - not many players take the trouble to thank the club and the fans when they move on and all credit to him for doing so.

Whatever you think of his playing ability there can surely be no doubt that he gave 100% for the shirt in every game he played and as supporters of the club, can we really expect anything more than that?

Good luck to him at Boro - I hope he is a great success there.

Very true. He has a winners mentality and that rubs off on the team. Quite right that will all be channeled into Boro and I feel their gain is our loss.

In a club of limited attacking options his departure is serious, my concern is simple ,where are our out and out creative players ?Whenever he played or came off the bench we had options.
