Opps accidentally pressed submit before I finished my rant.....

The negativity in our fan base at the moment is shocking at best.

1. We sold Fabio.... I didn't want to lose him either but he had a release clause (club had no option).

2. Yesterday's result..... We have got a new Manager who is trying a new system. It can take a few months for new tactics to settle. Sorry guys but results are likely to be mixed, as long as the effort is there I think we should be patient.

3. Clearly we're missing a goal scorer. Trollope has identified this in his press conferences. The window is still open so relax I can see a few players leave and I would be shocked if at least one recognised striker wasnt brought in.

4. Our transfer policy..... We are not a villa, Newcastle etc. We will not be spending 7mills etc. On players we will be looking at 2/3mills and mixing that with a few punts from Europe etc. I personally think Fred will become a good squad player when he settles anyway.

If the transfer window shuts and we're still in the same situation then I will retract this rant but lets get behind the club and see what happens lads.

We have only played one game in the league, an away one at that, did not lose and kept a clean sheet.

A win Sunday and we would be 4 from 6. Its way to early for all the doom and gloom I agree.

Last night was dissapointing but not the end of the world.

The team showed they can score goals on pre-season.

The negativity so early on is unreal.

I know I get criticised on here for being negative but there is of course another side to your points.

1. The club would have sold Fabio if they had a decent offer for him, release clause or not. The cost cutting is set to continue for some time yet.

2. Our manager abandoned his new system and went to a 4-4-2 when it became clear the new system was not working. That could be a good thing - he's not afraid to change things if they're not working. Unfortunately the 4-4-2 wasn't much better!

3. The club seems fixated with signing midfield players at the moment.

4. We won't be paying anything like even 2/3 million for a striker. We'll be lucky to pay 2/3 hundred thousand. Until at least one and probably more of Le Fondre, Macheda and Dikgacoi have gone (and look how difficult that's proving) there will be no money available for any striker.

Of course it's early days but it's now 210 minutes of play without really looking like scoring a goal. Very worrying.

If we can't move Macheda or le fondre on , then at least put one on the bench , if we are paying them at least let them work for thier money. If I had an expensive car I wouldn't leave it on the drive.

Agreed Davids things aren't ideal at the moment but Rome wasn't built in a day. From what i can see the club are finally being run properly for a change.

I think we are getting Huws in as a replacement for Gunner. I can see the clubs strategy of purchase Huws for less than the sale of gunner and then hopefully using that money along with the sale of Fabio to invest in a goal scorer. I maybe be wrong and Tan could be assist striping but I'm going to have some faith and give the club a chance on this.

This is such an important signing and needs to be right!!!

They still need to get rid of the dead wood on ridiculous wages and that isn't our current mangers fault and hopefully the club has learnt from the mistakes of the past.

I like that Trollope has already proven to be more adaptable than slade (even if the result and the performance wasn't great last night).

I like the clubs stance on trying to promote from the academy and signing young Welsh talent.

It might take a season but we might finally have a proper football club with a focused strategy rather than just a circus where you never know where the next dramas come from.

Changed my opinion after today.
