I'm sure that even Trollope (or certainly Lennie!) knows we need a couple of strikers.

Our wonderful transfer committe however, thinks that we need midfielders and as we've splashed the whole of our budget on strikers (£3.55 and a packet of fruit pastilles) there is no money for any other strikers.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Tan is telling Trollope that if he wants another striker he needs to sell Zohore or Freddy.

Tan needs to get a experience manager, and get this club where it should be. Long hard season under these clown sadly.

I understand Tan feels he was ripped off by other managers but if he wants us back in the premiership or just to push for it he has to get a decent manager and spend some money not a lot but some money has to be spent all supporters can see it we need a decent pacey striker.

The best we played last season was with Pilks up front not his fault but he did his best and was our best striker last season and was the only player that looked like scoring tonight.

We are in for a hard season and I can see free tickets being giving out by October if this is what is going to be dished out to us as more supporters will stop coming

We have known for months we need a good striker, its up to our club to get one, the longer this goes on, I can eventually see us struggling.

Well its a long season ahead and we have to give ourselves a chance.
BUT he we are looking to sell are best players like Fabio and not reuse the money to strengthen up front then it's us going backwards we have had to restructure the club in terms of finance they learning the hard way but if the balance is wrong it could be terrible for us .lennie has been there seen it all someone like him knows the score problem is we don't no if it's falling on deaf ears we just don't no the plan do we .
We should be off loading the high earners who don't play lets just hope city knows what they are doing but on previous years under this board it's a worrying time to trust them .
We can't do anything other than support are team but it ain't looking good at mo is it .
Let's just see what happens in the league we have an away point so a win at home will build on a descent start and all will look ok again .
Will the lack a proven goal scoring 15 to 20 a season striker bite us in the arse yes I think it most defiantly will .
They no this at the club problem is they don't come cheap and they don't seem willing to pay so it frustrating for all .

Unfortunately we can't do anything until we move players off the books. Funds for transfers are available, as demonstrated by the Huws transfer, but ultimately we cannot increase the wage bill anymore than where it is at the moment, without breaking the FFP restrictions.

Unfortunately we are still paying the price for the ridiculous wages dished out by OGS and whoever else was involved during his reign here.

Trollope, undoubtedly knows what he wants/what he needs. Hopefully releasing Fabio will allow us to make moves in other areas. Presumably there's other interest in Huws and that's why he is looking to get that done first. We'll only be able to judge properly at the end of the window. If we don't get rid of the likes of Alf and Macheda we may have to lose additional first team members of the squad to try and allow us to strengthen in additional areas. Hopefully things will start moving soon!
