Who are our > 20,000 a week players?

We all know the score about our club right now. We are still in the process of trying to offload our high earners at the club. We are told that we can not bring in many new players until this is sorted. But who are they?

At a complete guess I'll go with.....

Fabio
Dickachoi
Adeyemi
Macheda
Le Fondre

Possibly Pilkington too.

That to me is about 120000 to 140000 a week in wages!

Over 6,000,000 a year!!!

I can completely understand the clubs view on cost cutting as well as many other sensible supporters.

Of that list I'd be gutted to lose Fabio Manga and Pilks, but what have the rest done in the last two seasons?

Macheda, Le Fondre, Adeyemi and Dickachoi have hardly played. And have cost over £4,000,000 a year in wages. That is every single penny in season tickets sold last year went on their wages!!!

That is why they have to go.

They both are well over that, £25,000 a week.

If they are playing and being a positive influence on the side then I don't mind so much. It isn't a waste if they are playing. Whitts for all his detractors has been with us for the bulk of his career, kept his head down plays and gets on with things. He deserves to be at the upper end of the wage scale. Marshall is the best keeper in our league - of course he will get a higher salary. There are other names there though that have been poor from the start. Not added anything and their job is being taken by people on much less money. THAT is poor business sense and a waste of Money. It would be also be a waste of money if we paid them half the salary and they played just as much!!

I would hazard a guess these guys are all on at least 20k - but they are all decent players that contribute to the squad.

Players inc Connely, Immers won't be far off, until all the 20k plus a week players are off loaded we will struggle, we can't afford premiership wages
