Would you swap Fabio and Gunnarsson for a decent Striker??

Tue Aug 09, 2016 12:18 pm

Would it be worth a switch for a proven potential 20 goal a season Striker? We may need to chuck a bit more on top but if it meant it freed up enough cash for the club to do it would you back it? :?:

Swapping them two for a proven 20 goals a season striker would be a no brainer, the only thing stopping us from being a really competitive side is a striker who can get us goals.

Exactly, we can cope without Fabio and Gunnar is 4th choice. Imagine if we had a goalscorer last season, we'd have got about 10 more points, minimum.

Yes no doubt. :thumbright:

There are enough good players and dead wood in this club to be shipped out and a decent Striker brought in! Everyone can see it but can the club?

WE NEED A PROVEN STRIKER!

Another massive free up of wages here.

And I dont need to go into all of the other potential avenues for getting the money together.

Is anything being done to address this burning issue?

We have got one or two good backup players for this role but we need a main stiker to get the goals we need to be competative this season!

Not as easy as you think.Ross McCormack is a good proven striker at this level.Need to sell 6Gunnars and 6 Fabio's to get someone like him.If only running a football club was as easy as some fans think(or not think as the case may be)

I did say if it was enough to furnish a deal as in perhaps we may need to raise some further capital.

I think we could get a decent striker for 5-6 million surely. We must have enough dead wood in Cardiff City to start a bonfire never mind push us into a decent bid for a striker. If we have to shift a couple of good players to make it happen then so be it.

Perhaps then we can set the Championship alight instead of the development team! :ayatollah:

Besides if we had 6 Gunnars and 6 Fabios that would make one hell of a team! They would certainly understand eachother and gel super quickly! :ayatollah:

Trouble is if we know its dead wood then you can bet the other clubs do as well.I think the days where we part with even 5-6m are gone for a while.Foriegn players looking to make a name for themselves will be our way for a while.Dare I say a Michu type is the best we can hope for.

Do you really think we would spend between 5-6 million on a player??

Besides, every team wants a 20 goal a season striker. It's not that easy!

Getting a Premiership reserve on loan is our best bet,Campbell or Banford perhaps?

Swap with who. Because the club won't spend the money. We can't, as we are basically broke and in debt to Tan :bluebird: :bluebird:

It's just the figure people are batting around because of the supposed combine transfer fees of Fabio and Gunnarsson. But even if it is that fee we'd be lucky to get half of it back to spend.
