KickOff.com has learnt that Kagisho Dikgacoi is considering returning home with both Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns touted as possible destinations for the ex-Bafana Bafana midfielder.

Dikgacoi looks set to leave Cardiff City after playing no part in the English club's pre-season preparations.

Amakhosi and The Brazilians have reportedly made enquiries about the 31-year-old's availability. And according to a source close to Dikgacoi, the former Golden Arrows captain is open to plying his trade in the PSL again.

"It's an open secret that 'KG' will not be playing for Cardiff," says the source.

"There are a few options overseas but there is a high possibility to return back home."

Dikgacoi, who has 54 international caps, spent four years at Arrows before linking up with Fulham in August 2009. He later joined Crystal Palace before signing with Cardiff in June 2014.

You can't help but laugh really. Fans wanted Malky out because he was too defensive and boring, but brought results....had their wish and brought in ole, and not only was he shit, he blew every penny on utter shit .

I didn't meet many fans that wanted malky out? When things started getting rocky for him in the prem we sung our hearts out for him to stay every game.

Did they?
I wanted him to stay and felt sure we would have stayed up. Never wanted Ole.

I wanted Malky gone purely because it was never going to work after he'd fallen out with Tan.

Also wtf was Acorn about? Seriously has anyone worked that transfer out yet?

I don't think anyone wanted Malky out, yeah he did play defensive football and it wasn't always pretty but you could see his aim was to keep us in the premiership. All you have to do is look at the Liverpool away game to see what the fans thought of him. Ogs on the other hand was brought here because of his Man U connection and just bought over inflated players which we are still paying for.

One could argue that he's never played for us in the first place.

One of the worst signings I have seen, in over 40 years of watching City!
