Villa U18s finished off their pre-season programme with a convincing confidence-boosting away win at Cardiff City on Saturday.
The visitors dominated the game for long periods, created lots of goal scoring opportunities and restricted the hosts to only a handful of half chances in an excellent 6-1 victory.
Goals from Johan Abdoul and Jake Humphries gave the claret and blues a two-goal advantage at the break.
The B6 youngsters continued to dominate the game in the second half and added to the scoreline with a penalty from captain Jake Doyle-Hayes, a brace from the impressive Kelsey Mooney and a well taken free-kick from Humphries.
Cardiff scored a consolation in injury time.
Isaiah Bazeley was very impressive at right-back, Jake Doyle-Hayes drove the team on from midfield and Kelsey Mooney continued his good form up front.
