Our away kit (idiots)

Sat Aug 06, 2016 7:36 pm

Our away kit is red again
Has no one down the club got the brains and balls to explain to tan that we fans hate the red
And he will not sell many red away shirts
If income is so important to our club
If he changed the away kit for any other colour he would sell more away shirts

So there mr tan you've been told

As an away kit I actually like the red strip.

Each to their own as I'm sure not all City fans share your view.

Ps despite playing in red today and only drawing I really enjoyed a trip to St Andrews and top banter by the City fans. The cry 'there's a Russian in the stand' when the crowds started leaving was priceless :)

We have played in red change kit long before Vinnie came along :bluescarf:

I've got both kits and they are both lovely tops in fact the fitting of the away top is nicer

Why do you care about the away kit?
It changes every year and we've had a red away kit in the past so it means nothing. Its a good compromise to be playing back in blue

Speak for yourself I like the red away kit.

Think you've all missed my point
I'm talking about shirt sales
How many away shirts have been sold for this season
And how many more would it be if it was not red

Steve, I try to stay out of this issue nowadays, but I get your point and the facts are there :bluebird:
I will never buy for my family the red shirt and going on last seasons sales of less than 500,then only went up to about 3,500 sales after City put them on sale for a loss at £10 a shirt.

Do you have a problem with us not signing players and having to get rid before bringing new players in
Revenue streams should be capitalised on not wasted
I've allways bought home and away and third kits for me and family members on almost every season
But I will notbuy anything red for well documented reasons

You are completely right Steve, commercially the Red top will not sell as many items as let's say yellow or black. That is the truth

Still got a heavy heart with the red away kit but I do except it. I did buy it for my Grandson because it was for a tenner and it had the right badge on it (apart from the worm) but got to say you did buy the rebranded kits all be it the blue one but that had that dreaded badge on it. If I had a choice it would be the yellow away kit but to me we got the blue and badge back so I ain't gonna be greedy. TBF trying to put the rebrand and the red behind me my little man looks dead cool in that kit but this Grancha is biased.

Neither will I buy red shirt neither will I moan about it. I moaned as much as most people when our home kit was red now I'm happy to calm down.

Fuss over nothing.
It's fine for an away kit.
And it's lucky ........

Most people buy the home kit, I doubt the sale of away kits effects the club financially much anyway. I rarely buy kits, if I bought one it would be the home one but the red one this season is very smart. You will never please our fans.

Why would people buy an away kit at big cost? only ones I would guess are fans who go away!! So in reality as a revenue stream they are not going to make a lot money compared to home kit regardless of colour. So calling club idiots is a bit ott
