Fulham have now confirmed they have accepted a bid from Aston Villa for their striker Ross McCormack.

Sky sources understand the bid is around £12m-£13m.

Norwich had previously had a £10m bid rejected for McCormack, who scored 21 goals in the Championship last season.

Sell on clauses are generally for young talent not average players after all he as not played above champ level so why would anyone have sell on clause for him?

I squared upto him down the bay and gave him a piece of my mind as he was well pissed up, told him he should be ashamed of himself behaving like that when us fans spend our hard earned cash to watch them play, my mate had to drag me away, he wasn't happy but neither was I hahaha

He's a star at this level to be fair but that's crazy money and I'd imagine, a crazy contract. With parachute payments it could be a gamble worth taking, or maybe not.

this is clearly a valuation based upon the increased likelihood of villa going up now they have someone who is likely to score them 20 league goals. we have entered a new era of increased transfer fees and wages now the new TV deal has kicked in.

yes he's 29, and yes he has not played in the premier league, but villa will happily sell him for half they paid if he fires them to the PL and he turns out to be garbage in that league.

Didn't we get over a £1m when McCormack went from Leeds to Fulham ?
