Sound sensible predictions to me. Would'nt surprise me if you are not far out with those. Not sure about Wolves, but they will probably be close.

What's changed from last year... Trollope... nope

Jazz Richards...

Definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Whatever formation is used, you still need the players to have the ability to compete with the top teams. It does'nt usually take too long for the opposing sides to develop a system to counter whatever formation a team decides to adopt. I can't see how our squad is much different to last season, the league is far stronger, and I think whatever formation we play will not compensate us for the stronger sides we are going to come up against this season. I honestly can't see us finishing as high as last season.

We still have a quality squad I feel can finish in the top 6 Its just the players weren't suited to 442 and it proved costly but now they have freedom and modern approach in Trollope I can see us doing better. :ayatollah:

You said the same sort of things last season, and thought that Slade was the best thing since sliced bread, and was the manager to do the business for us. I admire your blind optimism, but I honestly think if we played Barcelona you would have us to win by six, and probably more if we were playing them at home. ;)

Last season I don't think I put modern, freedom and Slade in the same passage I don't think  I think we would actually win by 10 away at Barca Whitts, Fred with hatricks and Immers, Pilks with braces. :laughing6:

Early predictions from me, will look at all leagues over the course of this week.

Premier League champions - Man Utd

Championship champions - Newcastle

League One promoted - Scunthorpe

League Two promoted - Portsmouth (finally)

As for Cardiff City, last season I said relegated but I'll go for 14th this season. I don't expect Trollope to last too long, if the club still want top six but continue to refuse to spend any money.

It's a tough season to predict IMO

Apart from Newcastle bouncing straight back (again) I'm finding it tough to call, is it really tougher this year or are teams just spending harder? Will those players gel at the likes of Leeds? Will Brighton be as good again? After the horrendous season villa had will they bounce straight back? Will wolves really push on after being bought? Are Bristol city gonna go up just cos they have Campbell? Will Derby and Wednesday do as well and will Norwich be thereabouts?

my predictions

Newcastle
Norwich
Brighton
Sheff Wednesday
Derby
Aston villa
Cardiff
Blackburn
QPR
Birmingham
Ipswich
Wolves
Leeds
Nott forest
Brentford
Fulham
Bristol city
Huddersfield
Wigan
Rotherham
Preston
Barnsley
Burton
