Crystal Palace are willing to listen to offers for Jordon Mutch and Fraizer Campbell according to Daily Mirror.
Would you welcome either or both these players back at Cardiff City ?
I would like to see both.

I would take both. I just fear that with all the backstage politics, the rebrand & fans fighting against the management that neither would ever consider coming back & I'd rather us not go back for Campbell, look what's happened between him and the hull fans because of his numerous rejections to go back. I'd rather remember him for having the goals to take us up.

out of our reach for wages nowadays I would think?!?
Fraizer could be the jewel in this team/formation

Mutch - no - too injury prone.
Campbell - most definitely. He would put us in the top 6 working in this system as he has a great work ethic and he close defenders down quickly. His pace in our set up would guarantee him goals. Unfortunately we have no money to spend and we cannot afford his wages. However, as our squad is now looking good and strong, providing we keep Manga, wouldn't it be great if we could just splash out on Campbell. I fear that our current strikers are currently not good enough. Campbell is proven at this level and would capture the invagination of the fans.

Is Tony Clemo in charge? No, we are still owned by a billionaire. There is money, but the point is will Vinnie the Red invest in our future? £21 million in parachute payments from last season alone!

yeah i agree its not thats theres no money it just tan wont spend it,we wanted blue back we got it now we will be run like the skintest club in the league, the sooner he fuks off the better, whats the point having a millionaire owner if he acts like the owner of a club in financial ruin??

Have you forgotten what was said when converted some of the debt earlier this year? Financial fair play is big stumbling block to over spending, so splashing the cash is not an option that is viable at this time!

Campbell yes without a doubt.
Mutch last season I said no as he wouldn't fir into Slades 4-4-2 however under Trollope maybe however maybe a bit similar to Immers

I'd welcome them both back but I think that they'd each think of a return here being a backwards step in their careers.
They'd probably both want to stay at Premier League level with perhaps a newly promoted club, or at worst go to a club ib the Championship that's seen as having a realistic chance of promotion, and I don't think that, at this time, we are considered a realistic promotion contender.
Perhaps if we can get rid of Macheda, Le Fondre and Dikgacoi, we could fund one of them but as has been said before, I think Tan is looking to cut everything that can be cut, especially wages, and simply replacing the combined salaries of three players with a similar salary for one player would not make financial sense.
Unfortunately, until Tan leaves the club, I doubt very much that we will be signing any players with the proven qualities of Mutch and Campbell, and only then if we can get the right investor, which as we know, is not an easy thing.

Mutch is too injury prone but Campbell would be a huge signing and would fit into this formation well.
However, we wouldn't pay either of their wages and I doubt either of them would come.

Signing Campbell would hardly be 'splashing the cash'! It would be a massive boost to everyone and bring in more fans.

Are you both forgetting we were under a recent transfer embargo? We can't buy players on big wages and cost cut at the same time.
And with regards to the club receiving 21mill in parachute payments the majority of that was spanked on pre madanonos that no longer player for us. And it's hardly like vinny has kept it to himself he's just paid off 180million of our loans.

i understand that but thats what the parachute payments are for not for tan to pocket, personally i dont think the club will ever move forward under tan, on the bright side tho i dont think he'll be in charge for much longer maybe another yr or two max

I would take them both and believe that it is exactly what is needed to send out some kind of statement of intent to excite the fans.
I would also like to see us use the loan market a bit better. All hypothetical I know, but if we brought those two in plus a couple of quality additions on loan I believe we could make a challenge for the play offs at least.
As it stands I see our squad finishing at the top end of mid-table in what I see as one of the strongest Championships in a good few years.

Problem is parachute payments are income and as such must be part of financial fair play in turn tan rightly or wrongly has to incorporate them into his plan of turning debt to equity in the plan he as set out , guess can't have cake and eat it prefer debt free club 1st.

I don't think either will want to come back unfortunately!

Campbell yes would be great we need pace but mutch is a sick note

Christ on a bike, some people know absolutely nothing about football finances.
How can Tan be pocketing millions while at the same time writing off debt owed to him??????
You just stay buried in you own moan about something that happened years ago and has since been put right.
Mon Aug 01, 2016 1:44 pm
in a heart beat, mutch can pick a pass, and fraizer has the pace

totally agree tans lost over 150 million at the moment

This question seems to be asked every transfer window, as much as I would like them both back it's a absolute non starter. Tans not willing to spend the money and I can garuntee both wouldn't cut their wages down to what were looking to spend.

Sez who?you? He's entitled to those parachute payments as its his club and without him there would be no club for you to bitch at.We are no longer up to our necks in the brown stuff but we're still waist high.Christ, now we've got goldfish for supporters.

Tan is not 'pocketing millions', but he is a billionaire who shows no interest in investing in the future of our club. His agenda seems to be to make the club financially attractive for a future buyer rather than see it progress.

Plus....who put us in dire straits? Who allowed OGS free rein? Who wasted millions on a red stand and a rebrand? Not such a clever businessmen,eh?

we were 64 million in debt before he took over so we were in dire straights way before he took over its nice tone not hear us being taken to court all the bloody time
Mon Aug 01, 2016 3:15 pm
We were (and are) in debt to owners who borrow millions and then we pay them interest. In Sam's case from a company he set up himself! It's Catch 22.
Mon Aug 01, 2016 3:17 pm
Neither has played very much for the last couple of years. Especially Campbell. I'd want him to prove he still has the ability he had 3 years ago with a loan spell before spending decent cash on him.

Have a think about what you have written, fella!
Personally, I'd have both back. Mutch improved massively in his time with us and Campbell was a revelation
Mon Aug 01, 2016 3:23 pm
We're no longer shopping in Harrods, players on Campbell's wages are no longer affordable to us & personally I don't think he'd want to drop down to The Championship unless it was for a Newcastle or a Villa.
