Kagisho Dikgacoi told he can leave

By BBC Sport

Friday, 29th July 2016

Cardiff City have told South African international Kagisho Dikgacoi he is free to leave the Championship club.
The 31-year-old central midfielder did not travel to Germany on Cardiff's pre-season tour and manager Paul Trollope has confirmed Dikgacoi can leave.

Adam le Fondre and Federico Macheda have already been told they can go and Trollope: said: "He's in a similar situation to Le Fondre and Macheda."
Dikgacoi has played 17 league games since signing for Cardiff in 2014.

"If the right thing comes along in terms of a move away then it's something we'll consider," Trollope told the South Wales Echo.
The 54-times times capped international, who has one year left on his Cardiff contract, played 30 minutes of the pre-season friendly win at Shrewsbury Town but did not travel to Germany as he worked on his fitness.

"He stayed back with the younger group to stay and train there, I thought that would be a move which would benefit all parties," added Trollope.

Dikgacoi, who was part of the South Africa squad for the 2010 World Cup finals, has suffered long-standing knee problems since joining the Bluebirds from Crystal Palace in June 2014.

Another major disappointment was Kashigo Dikgacoi :(

Came here, was injured, got in the team and showed early promise, then disappeared in effect! :(

We can't say we weren't warned by Palace supporters because we were! ;)

Yes, that's right, we were warned. I was told by a CP fan, shortly after KD arrived, that at best he was an average Championship player.

Imho he was well below average!

I thought he showed promise especially start at last season but never seem to ever be fully fit

Really don't know why he was signed, I think if you are gonna have him in your team you would have to be playing a formation with a CDM.

Could have been a decent player here but why Slade persisted with trying to get him fit and in the team when we play 4-4-2 was bizarre, if we was playing 4-1-4-1 it would been better suited.

No doubt hes a decent player but shockingly unfit considering what he's allegedly being paid!
