The matchday experience at the CCS has won plaudits
Thursday 26th July 2016
It's not often that Cardiff City are mentioned in the same breath as the Rolling Stones, but both have been nominated for Entertainment Venue of the year at the AV 2016 awards.
The nomination is recognition for a number of improvements in the matchday experience at the Cardiff City stadium, including the installation of nine Ricoh HD projectors as well as cutting-edge digital signage.
It is third nomination for Cardiff's partnership with Tripleplay.
CEO Ken Choo said: "Our evolving digital strategy at Cardiff City – and indeed our sister clubs – is of huge importance to us. It’s something Tan Sri Vincent Tan is particularly focused on and is determined for us to forge ahead in further implementing.
"Following on from our Sports Technology Awards triumph and European Install Awards nomination earlier in 2016, our AV Awards 2016 nomination – in conjunction with valued partners Tripleplay - highlights the good work that we are doing. It’s rewarding and humbling to be nominated alongside some of the other fantastic venues and household names that are in the running.
"The digital world is changing every day and this latest nomination not only shows that we are moving with the times, but exemplifies our commitment to supporters and the betterment of their experience at Cardiff City Stadium."

Fair do's to the club, Ned
I'm still trying to figure out what changed for the positive last year in my 'match day experience' at the CCS though, as it was as stale as I can remember!
Hopefully, further improvements in this years 'match day experience' will include a far better level of entertainment on the field of play! LOL
I don't like to 'Paint it Black', I don't get no 'Satisfaction' from moaning and realise 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' but I'm optimistic with what I'm hearing pre-season so far!

I'm completely baffled and I've clearly misunderstood the meaning of 'match day experience'

Thought match day experience meant before, during, and possibly after the game not just the home crowds vocal support?? But then what do I know!!!

A guy from Rhiwbina used to teach Jagger in school in Dartford in the 50s - he later ran a special needs school in Cardiff, and asked Jagger for a signed album to go to auction, to raise money for braille computers etc..
A week or so later, a van turns up with a load of computers - from Michael, as he used to call him.
