Wales striker Hal Robson-Kanu is attracting interest from Spanish giants Atletico Madrid and Sevilla, according to reports.

The former Reading striker became a free agent the day before he scored a stunning goal against Belgium to help Wales into the semi-finals of Euro 2016.

Since he returned from that historic Euro 2016 journey, he has been looking for a new club and was said to be on the verge of joining Hull City before Steve Bruce left the club.

A move to Champions League finalists Atletico or Europa League winners Sevilla would be a huge shock, though the latter could be in the market for a new front man with Fernando Llorente linked with a move to Swansea City among other clubs.

Athletico have Griezmann and Torres. Where would Kanu fit in apart from the reserves.

Good luck to him though. Make the most of that moment of Euro magic, as let's be honest, he really only Championship standard.

His contribution rates in the championship are not impressive a goal ratio of less than 1 in 5 games you can add pressure on those stats at a safe 25% mark at top flight as his Wales track record would suggest in qualifiers ad friendlys

I don't understand these top clubs supposedly top scouts and management see one flick one piece of skill on tv and they buy a player.

Where as I think this is barmy, Kanu even training with the quality of player at Madrid should improve him as a player which could benefit Wales.
