Funny for over 2 years Ive said Fabio and Declan John are quality players, I really believe they will have a superb season given the chance



Declan John continued his excellent pre-season with a (albeit accidental) goal but the performance that really caught the eye today was from his Brazilian team-mate.

Fabio is a perfect fit for a back five and is absolutely revelling in the added freedom to attack.

His cross for Frederic Gounongbe was inch perfect and the Beninese striker was left in a position where it was almost impossible to miss.

Fabio also seems to enjoy the opportunity to challenge opponents on the ball in their own half and his tough tackling is creating chances for Cardiff to get through their transition and counter before the opposition can recover.

The imminent arrival of Jazz Richards on the pitch will give Trollope a selection dilemma but John and Fabio couldn't have done much more.

Both will be key players in our new formations. As to jazz too who should adapt well. Where it leaves peltier I am not sure. Possible he could be a centre back

We have played parks teams in comparison to what's ahead

Both are attack minded,there quality not in doubt but both particularly Declan defensive qualities have been heavily criticised. Let's hope the new system covers their defensive frailties

Annis to your credit you've been on about Declan John for forever,I think most of us know the qualities that Fabio has but still not sure yet about Declan.There is a bit of compitition for these places so who knows but he's having his chance.Good Luck to him

Let's see how it goes, I am not against them playing. To say Declan and Fabio have immense quality is stretching reality to the limits as there is nothing to back that up with. It's time for them to prove they have what it takes. Quality balls into the box, tactical awareness, the whole package. Over to you lads! And best of luck!!

My thoughts exactly. Peltier would still be in my team playing the 'chester' role. Even though he is injured Morrison would miss out with Bruno in centre and connolly left. That's a pretty solid back 3 in my eyes. Looking forward to this season!!!
