Well, Mino Raiola is the Agent of Paul Pogba; apparently about to take over the mantle of 'world's costliest player' when he completes his £100m move to Manchester United in the next few days four years after leaving them for FREE!
My point here?
Well, Mr Raiola will be paid a reported £18.4m by Manchester United for his services in setting the deal up!![]()
Good luck to him, of course. That's the market; albeit a crazy one way beyond my comprehension and I fear for the future of all but a few increasingly controlling clubs in the English pyramid and in Europe
Opinions, please?

There is probably a role for agents/player representatives simply because football players tend not to be the brightest stars in the sky and history is littered with tales of footballers finishing their careers penniless.
However, a fee like that is out of all proportion and it is time for clubs to self-regulate when it comes to paying fees in the tens of millions of pounds to football agents.
A significant part of a club's income comes from us (the football fan) via season tickets/sky/BT subscriptions. We also buy goods from the sponsors of football clubs so ultimately this money is coming from our wallets.

100% spot on, Tony. We are the ones feeding the hungry beast that is football and we are still treated as second class citizens and taken for granted. But, as Cardiff City FC have found out, fans are fickle and will stop at the drop of a hat if they're no longer motivated by the 'product'![]()
