" NOT LONG NOW/HOW DO YOU SEE ENGLISH FOOTBALL GOING? "

Tue Jul 19, 2016 9:23 am

Just over two weeks until the Championship, League One and League Two kick off - with the Premier League starting a week later :ayatollah:

How do you see the four leagues going?

I like the look of Chelsea for the Premier League title but think it will be one of the closest ever. Would expect Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool and Tottenham to all go close.

Really can't look past Newcastle for the Championship, and would be good to see Slade do well at Charlton in League One :thumbright:

Ned, I have to say I agree with most of that, although I would put a Mourinho led Man Utd up as favourites

But I do believe Chelsea will be back up there fighting for the title, as I think Man City will need time to settle under Pep Guardiola but won't be too far away, leaving an interesting battle between Arsenal and Spurs for the final spot. I think Leicester will have a good season again but fall a little short of the top 4

Certainly Newcastle have to be the Championship favourites (I seem to recall they stormed the division last time they were in it) and a Slade led Charlton have to be there or there about in League One :ayatollah:

My premiership predictions start as usual where finally the JB's luck runs out and they will come crashing out of the top league. Interesting how Liverpool never get a mention these days? That said Man United will win the PL with Arsenal as runners up.

I have a feeling Newcastle will struggle and won't be the nailed on Champions everyone thinks they will be. I can see us finishing in the top 6 and dependent on luck, injuries and dodgy referees could even make top 2. I can see Fulham being dark horses along with Sheffield W and Leeds.

Bristol Rovers are the ones to watch in League 1 but surely Sheffield United will eventually break free from the third tier league.

League 2 will see Newport County make the play-offs. That is an interesting league this year which contains ex-premiership Portsmouth and Blackpool along with ex-Championship Doncaster, Plymouth and Colchester. I take Doncaster to win the league.
