Cardiff City Crowds the last few seasons
Link
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=142949#p1512121
The dark days of just over 13,000 rocking up at the home of the Bluebirds should be behind us as the club seeks a fresh start under new Cardiff City manager Paul Trollope.
More of the fans who walked away following the rebrand will return, willing to give their beloved club another chance - the start of the season signalling almost 18 months since the return to blue.
However, there is nothing quite like success for bringing in big crowds. A positive start to the season will be vital and the momentum it would generate could see things snowball.

Not if it true people are told they can not celebrate goals now what next
this must be a wind up surely
the ground as always lacked passion and its only going to get worse unless restrictions are dropped ? relaxed and the average fan and family are allowed to enjoy there 2 hour visit to the stadium to the maximum with the feeling they can not wait to return

Mallo, up to 2 weeks ago less than 10,000 season tickets had been sold, the lowest for many years.
Wayne Nash needs to let the ground have passion/voices/feeling etc etc

I don't think the crowds actually went anywhere. Fifteen thousand or so has been about average for us in this division unless we are at the top and fighting for an automatic promotion place. If we look like genuine promotion contenders, like most clubs we will suddenly attract thousands more who will only support a winning side. If we are mid table or just outside the play offs, anywhere between twelve and eighteen thousand fans depending on who we play would be around normal for us.

The crowds will come with success, but until then I believe it will be similar to last year although cheaper tickets this season could see a few more walk ups for certain games. But still think most would rather sit at home watching a live premiership game on the android box @3pm on a Saturday.

The only way the crowds will return is if the club are succesfull, this has been proven time and time again. SSame as international level, a bad start in the WCQ Campaign and qualication looking unlikely it would be back to 10,000 rattling round the stadium again.
Welsh Football fans are fickle as f**k.

Three things that will bring the fans back are:
1. For the club to show some ambition.
2. A winning team on the pitch.
3. Play attractive attacking football.
Unfortunately the club have shown no ambition for at least 18 months & we have not seen attractive attacking football either. Let's hope that Trollope can produce a winning team but based on investment in the team and the strong strengthening of other Championship teams I cannot see us making the top 10 this season. I hope that I am proved wrong but crowds in the region of 12-14K will be the norm (at a push) unless the team grinds out some results.

Slade was woeful, Even when we won you sometimes felt cheated

give us a team that could battle for the top 2 places, not loans or freebies, or cheap deals, the crowds may return , but they soon could be gone, dont really see any change to last year zzz

Dear Season Ticket Holder,
Today we are informing you of new measures for the forth coming season.
As you maybe aware in the past we have had serious issues and complaints regards standing in our all seater stadium.
To resolve these complaints this pending season any standing will not be tolerated and all customers must remain seated at all times to avoid immediate removal from the stadium and having ticket revoked.
This includes during goal celebration.
The reason we have contacted you today is due to watching previous CCTV footage you have been identified as a supporter standing from your seat. This polite message allows you the opportunity to avoid being removed from the stadium by our professional stewards and having your ticket revoked.

If That is true and I don't see why it wouldn't be. Then that's a load of bollocks how can you not stand and celebrate a goal 99% off the stadium are on their feet when we get a chance. Club don't deserve fans when you read shit like that

It's bullshit there has never been anyone trying to stop people standing and celebrating a goal

Well no one's been stopped in Ninian block 115 , guess it happens time to time for ligitiment reasons, but to say it stops the atmosphere or stops people coming to stadium is bollocks!

Your right annis no atmosphere unless game is exciting particularly at end, but there is no magical answer to get crowd buzzing except performances on pitch that's main stimulation
And it's not just a city problem either complaints from premier fans as well .

Apologies late replying I have today personally spoken with Wayne Nash - and all the rumours floating around about extra celebration restrictions are all fabricated nonsense -
The Club are listening to fans and want to make the stadium hassle free for all ages to enjoy -
There are major changes happening at the club and all are excited about the coming season with new management and players arriving -
Just to clear up all rumours to date reported are hoax and should be laughed off -
lets support our club we love and back the boys of the field - if we have 2000 - or 20000 fans lets start the season positive altogether
We have had enough up and downs to last us a life time -
Hope this is now clear it all load of rubbish being generated and I know corky will back me on these silly rumours also :
Bluebirds for life not just success one club one love ( CARDIFF CITY FC )
