' The emergence of Tommy O'Sullivan '

It is perhaps young Tommy O'Sullivan who is closest to getting some first team action out of any of the DVP or under 21 Cardiff City players this coming season.

The man who is heralded as Wales' best young player by many joined Cardiff City at the age of just nine, celebrating his 21st birthday January just gone..

He was given some exposure to first team football by Malky Mackay, who spoke very highly of the midfielder and never doubt his talent.

O'Sullivan has represented Wales at age grade level and impressed during an extended loan spell at Newport County last season, making 22 appearances.

Paul Trollope has been told by owner Vincent Tan, to give the local welsh lads a run.

Where did you " borrow" this article from Annis? I don't think the reporter who wrote it can have seen many of the games he played in.

Having watched quite a few development team games last season I wasn't overly impressed with him. Nothing wrong with his displays, it is just with all the hype he was getting on message boards etc. I expected him to be outstanding at that level, and, while was one of the better players in spells, he simply wasn't outstanding.

At 21 needs to make a impact this year hope he does.
Been a lot of criticism for not giving youngsters a chance but Ralls was an took it questions need to be asked about the quality of the youngests coming through

Thing is players need game time, encouragement and brought into a situation where overall they are developed. Can we honestly say City has been that sort of environment, I don't think so personally, would love it if we went that way as I've been crying out for that for donks.
