Got to love Bale, a decent down to earth family man who hasnt let success go to his head. :ayatollah: :notworthy:

Who is Emma Rhys-Jones who's marrying Gareth Bale?

17 JUL 2016

BY RACHEL MAINWARING

Emma and Gareth Bale have been together since their school days in Cardiff

Emma and Gareth have been childhood sweethearts since they met at Whitchurch High School in Cardiff.
The couple, who have two daughters Alba and Nava Valentine, live a relatively low-key life in Madrid, despite Gareth's worldwide fame.

They love to come home to visit family in Cardiff and she accompanied her Real Madrid star partner to last year's Celebrity Cup at Celtic Manor Resort, happily mingiling with him and his friends on the course.

Emma's sister is Charlotte Rhys-Jones, who's the girlfriend of Welsh rugby international Taulupe Faletau who are expecting their first child together.

Emma, a former hairdresser, is proudly Welsh. Before their Alba Violet Bale, was born in October 2012, Emma made sure she was in Cardiff to give birth at the University Hospital of Wales .

Don't they make the perfect pair?

Um read the post in full and you will realise that at least one of there kids was born in cardiff and it wouldn't surprise me if the other one was also.

Nearly certain that Emms Rhys-Jones didn't go to Whitchurch High School, and they certainly weren't childhood sweethearts,

Far as i remember things, they got together when he signed for Spurs

Correct, she went to Llanishen High. She was the year below me.

Must have start going out when they were around 16/17? so you could call them childhood sweethearts.

Shit article tho

Pointless thread IMHO as it has no bearing on 'football' and is pretty family intrusive :(

And it didn't take someone long to be detrimental to their kids, did it? Nice one, Phil Davies!

Not upset at all. Far more important things in life than to worry about a pointless thread that opens itself up for the likes of you, Phil Davies, to ridicule Bale and his family for their personal and private choices. I then named you as an example of what churlishness occurs when such threads are put up ;)

The story was out there for a while before anyone put it on here. None of the 'Mods' chose to put it up and I was surprised to see it made a 'Sticky'

I'm way past "growing up", fella but I wonder about you, if you react like that just because someone voices a differing opinion and chooses not to ridicule the man (and his family) you were likely to have been one of those cheering on so loudly during Euro 2016 ;)

Two popular Spanish girls names. Nothing wrong with them.

I'll be honest and say I don't care about his personal life, as long as he keeps up the top performances for Wales.

Same goes for Cardiff City players. Heard a few things about Rudy Gestede while he played for us, in terms of his personal life and lifestyle, but it doesn't really matter to us as football fans as long as they put in the performances.

Congratulations to both though.

Phil, unacceptable to call anyone on here "pathetic". It's in our rules that personal abuse will not be accepted.

Can easily make your point here without personal abuse.

Are you serious when you say 'personal abuse will not be accepted'??

There's one poster, amount others, who pretends to be an old man who constantly dishes out personal abuse by calling everybody who disagrees with him a c**t! So to pull someone up who's just uses the 'pathetic' is well .... pretty pathetic.

I happen to agree with Svens side of things as it happens but that's beside the point.

You know I do my best (like others) to keep things on the level here and my point was that Mr "I'm as cool as a cucumber, me" should have seen that what he was writing was bang out of order; preferably before he wrote it and his later responses (not just to me) showed he couldn't justify them!

As I stated, I wasn't happy that the thread was put up or made a 'Sticky' as it will always attract the mockers; of which 'phildavies' is one of the most subtle when you read his previous posts

For someone so cool, he's a bit hot under the collar at the moment to say the least and the responses above smack of someone who simply cannot justify his own comments when challenged. Just a pity he had to ridicule Bale's family in the first place, as I'm not too sure he'd appreciate it if it was his family choices being mocked! ;)

I have perfectly justified my comments by stating my right to an opinion something that is appears you do not think people should be allowed to do. You seem to want to live in a world where things are hidden away from and people don't speak freely maybe the USSR under Stalin would have suited you?

I think this Nick Cohen quote sums up the flaw in your argument quite well "Treating people as equals means treating them as adults who can handle robust argument not as children who need to be told fairy stories and tucked up in bed."

And yet you felt the need to reply? :laughing5: :laughing5: :laughing5:

As did you to bluebird-77, fella ;) :laughing5: :laughing5: :laughing5:

Obviously not intelligent enough to work out what I was saying though, are you? If you were you'd have defended your position of mocking Bale and his family choices rather than resorting to the (previously referred to) churlish behaviour above!

Bloody hell you really are pathetic ain't you I said each to their own an I doubt he'd give a shit about my opinion and still you are banging on about it and you critsize me for apprantly mocking him an then you question my intelligence. :laughing6:

As for defending it I have the right to an opinion or are you against free speech? As Salman Rushdie one said " What is freedom Of speech, without the freedom to offend it ceases to exist."

As the guy says there's double standards going on here.

Appreciated and all your comments are noted

USSR?? Stalin?? Freedom of speech?? WTF??

Mr "cool as a cucumber, me" rattled or what???? :o

I could use other peoples quotes to my own end too, fella, but I prefer use my own words in a calm, considered and eloquent manner and I always feel that people who need to resort to other peoples words when they don't have the capacity to produce their own have already lost the debate (where there is a debate to be had, of course, which there isn't here ;) )

No one has said (tell me if I'm wrong) that you're not entitled to voice an opinion, have they? My point was that IMHO what you wrote initially was bang out of order for ridiculing Bale's family choices. You wouldn't like it if it was done to you and yours, would you?

Leave it there now, fella. We've both voiced an opinion and will just continue to disagree. This very poor thread has now degenerated into complete farce and you are in danger of starting to look daft by your churlishness :ayatollah:

And it didn't take someone long to be detrimental to their kids, did it? Nice one, Phil Davies!

Ha someone is upset that I find there kids names stupid sums up 2016 really to many precious little flowers out there getting upset over nothing. I very much doubt Bale would give two shits about my opinion of his kids names and yet it upsets you grow up!

Um you clearly have by saying that this thread should not have even been on here :? If you think my opinion which I again stress I doubt Bale would give a shit about is bang out of order then I'm pleased that we don't live in country where you are in charge. As for looking daft you already have made yourself look so by showing how easy it is to offend you and how you seem to feel the need to assume what someone else (Bale) would think of my opinions on a matter as trivial as his kids names. :laughing5:

Anyway lets see if you can stand by your own point now and not reply to this and just leave it there

Grow up lads for Gods sake. Silly comments followed by Mods that should know better. Both as bad as eachother in some sort of "cool-off "I'm not angry, you are". Ffs man.

Sorry, I didn't realise I was speaking as a Mod. I thought I was simply disagreeing with the churlish comments of a young man belittling another man's family choices

Churlish: rude in a mean-spirited and surly way

Personally, I'm glad I have standards that I'm happy to abide by and those include standing up and being counted when I feel others are being disrespectful; particularly where families are concerned

I agree that enough is enough though and we move on
