Melting Pot Pub - Toulouse

Sun Jul 17, 2016 12:03 am

It was me that introduced that ball that gave us hours of entertainment and made a guy climb three balconies to get it back and a dragon to dance on the pub roof. Bought it off a kid across the road for 30 Euros! (I was flush and off it). If this makes any sense to you then you were there.....now give me my ball back!

One of a number of quality nights mate. I've been out drinking with a few of the group I went over to France with and we haven't shut up all night about how good our time was and how much we wish we were still there. From a mental night club after winning in Bordeaux to singing and dancing outside pubs in every City we visited. No matter what City we visited in all of the 6/7 (if you count lens for a few hours) we had an absolute ball.

Roll on Austria, the best is yet to come !

Hahaha. Brilliant memories! So many crazy stories. We were involved in a police chase at about 4am that night too, coulnt get a taxi/uber so jumped in with some scally lad, police clocked him so he decided to go for it and do 80 mph down little side streets, I was screaming like a bitch...had guns pointed at us and everything when he stopped, never been so scared. Tbf the police roughed the driver up bad but gave us a lift home in the end and wanted to learn the 'dont take me home' song. I will laugh about that for decades!

What a fantanstic day all round. Rocked up at about 10am on the morning of the match. We had a cottage in the Dordyne for the two weeks and the other halves and my son and I had hotel booked in Toulouse and discovered that we were staying about 50 yards from the Melting Pot.
Went in there at 12 noon when it opened and we spent the afternoon outside having the greatest street party you could imagine, singing drinking, drinking, singing and no, none of us wanted to go to work! Met so many people I knew including the likes of Annis and Carl. My Son and I headed off to the stadium as we only had two tickets and left our women folk in the Melting Pot, to get to what was an amazing game and atmosphere before during and after the match, and OMG what a match. we eventually got back to the hotel after mid-night to discover that the women had had a great party night in the Melting pot and they still had a party now going on in our rooms. CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY but oh so a wonderful day, one that will live in the memory for many years to come.

Since I have come back from France I cannot stop talking to people about the experience and it seams that there are thousands of great stories about the WONDERFUL WELSH ADVENTURE TO FRANCE. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
