' Cardiff City's Chances This Season? '
How do the bookies rate Cardiff City's chances?
To beat Birmingham on opening day of the season: 2/1
To reach the play-offs: 17/4
Top 2 finish: 16/1
To win the Championship: 33/1

Between 16th and 20th and keep our championship status

We will finish 4th and win the play-offs.
FYI 442 Magazine last year predicted we would finish 17th.

We actually finished 8th bettering that prediction by 50%. Using the same formula places us in 4th position this season, my prediction

Really? You think we'll be a bottom half championship side? Even though we've been a top 10 championship side for 90% of the time we spent there?
6th to 10th for me.

My prediction 10th.
Much tougher Championship this season than last and so far we have not really strengthened.

Mid table I think although if we don't get the same place as last season or better slades position then the pitch forks will be out no doubt, otherwise what was the point in slades number two at the time coming to the front line

I think we have less chance of a top six finish this season than we did last season, and I did'nt think we had any chance last season.

Are new signings as important as other factors?
Player for player by value or skill level we might say Belgium tops Wales right?
So the number of new signings may not be as important as how well the new manager gets the team motivated and together.
That's the unknown here.

I am quietly optimistic. If plays welsh system this team doesn't look too bad
Marshall
Peltier Manga Connolly
Richards Fabio
O'Keefe Ralls
Pilkington Immers
Gounongbe
Bench Gunnarsson, Whitts, John, Moore, Zahore, Noone, Morrison
I think thats a decent side but depends on how well new striker goes and whether we can hang onto Manga,Pilks etc. If the new striker is good and we are due a decent one after a serious of duds then believe we can challenge and shock some people.

It really depends what difference there's going to be under Trollope,so far other than the new striker nothing has changed so to get a different performance from the same players is going to be very difficult that's why I believe the likes of jazz Richards in and a switch to 3cbs and wing backs can be what changes our fortunes,if we keep to 442 then we'll finish around the same as we did last yr,7th-10th if we adopt a new style and bring in ppl who have tasted success in it then we can finish top 4 imo

With Trollope seeing the potential of this system, I can only hope Cardiff City uses it! Been so bored of the style of football and the same basic old fashioned formation week-in and week-out.
Only change I would make is Gunnarsson in for O'keefe. That long throw could nick us a few points.
