Annis, I have a good friend who lives in Wolverhampton and is a Walsall ST holder and he has said a few times how much he has developed and looks good prospect.

He sounds good, Sadly it looks like little Barnsley have more money than us and he's gone there.

I saw someone making a good point saying that they think Tan got burnt with Doyle so isn't keen to spend money on players at that level.

Personally, I think he's a bargain for that money. He's only improving with every season and if we brought him in I think he'd be a great signing for us. I mean if Barnsley and Rotherham are going for him then surely we can?!

Barnsley are due 20% of John Stones transfer fee when he leaves Everton. They are looking at getting just over £7.5 million.

Will add him to all the other players especially Welsh our club should be signing(according to fans) when will fans realise it's upto trollope who is suitable for his team regardless of nationality or cost? have we missed out no because every player plays differently at whatever club they sign for. Who's to say he would be any good at our club.! Why take chance when no need to?? :old:

BARNSLEY SIGN BRADSHAW

Barnsley have signed Tom Bradshaw from Walsall for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old submitted a transfer request on Wednesday, which the Saddlers accepted and he has joined on a three-year contract at Oakwell.

Bradshaw, who also attracted interest from Rotherham, helped Walsall to a third place finish to make the League One play-offs before losing in the semi-finals to his new club.

Barnsley manager Paul Heckingbottom told the club's website: "Tom will fit in well with our playing philosophy. We want to play two up front and Tom will add undoubted strength to our strike force.

"He is a clever player with an eye for goal. I am sure he will become a fans' favourite."

Should of been worth a punt as striker cover with a view to develop. Not saying he'd set the championship on fire but atleast worth a punt. I pine to see us develop players and hope Trolls gives us a glimmer.

My opinion is I think Bradshaw will get a minimum of 15 goals if he stays fit and plays every game. I think he will have a 1 in 3 strike rate. I think we have seriously missed out and Barnsley have got theirselves a bargain.

If that's the case why didn't a bigger club than Barnsley take a punt at him?

Because bigger clubs already have proven Championship standard strikers and don't need to gamble on lower league strikers. For a club in our position cutting costs and needing to strengthen the striker department, I think Tom Bradshaw would have been well worth a punt for 650k.

Like I previously said, he has a much better all round game than Doyle, is continually improving and has a 1 in 2 strike rate with Walsall, with the ability to score all different types of goals. If we signed Bradshaw and it didn't work out, we could have easily got the money back anyway.

I believe Bradshaw will impress for Barnsley and he will end up getting signed by a bigger club for over a million in the future. We shall see.

So guess we are only club in championship looking for strikers? You could be right about going on to bigger things but hazard guess trollope knows all about him and just doesn't seem him in our setup after all surely he should know? :o

Difficult one really.

Looked very good last season and I thought a bigger club would have taken a gamble on him.

It appears he jumped at the first offer. Saying that maybe the network of coaches and agents think that's his level.

Football is all about ifs and buts. He could be great or average.

I don't think it's fair to criticise the club for not signing him because he was cheap and Welsh.
