WENGER WON’T ‘RULE OUT’ ENGLAND

Arsene Wenger admits he would be open to the possibility of becoming England manager – but not before he sees out his existing contract with Arsenal.

The Frenchman, who has been in charge of Arsenal for almost 20 years, has 12 months to run on his current deal and insists he will honour that commitment. However, he admitted he is uncertain where his future lies beyond that and left the door open to potentially taking over the England team one day.

"Could I manage England, why not? I would never rule that out, but I am happy and focused in club football," he said in an interview with beIN Sports. "England is my second country.

"I have one more year to go with Arsenal and I have been with them for a long time. I have always respected all my contacts [throughout my career] and will continue to do that. What will I do after that? Honestly, I don't know."

FIORENTINA SIGN IANIS HAGI

Fiorentina have signed Ianis Hagi, Romanian legend Gheorge Hagi's son, from FC Viitorul.

The 16-year-old midfielder made 31 league appearances for Viitorul last season, scoring three goals.

Hagi became the youngest captain in Romanian league history in August 2015 while he has also represented Romania at youth level up to the U18s.

A statement on Fiorentina's website read: "ACF Fiorentina announces that it has exercised its option for the acquisition of the registration rights of the player Ianis Hagi, the Romanian midfielder, from FC Viitorul."

Chelsea are hoping to lure Lazio winger Anderson to Stamford Bridge fornext season, according to reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Brazilian failed to attend the Serie A club's summer training camp because he wants to take part in next month's Olympics in his homeland.

WEST HAM TARGET €30M BACCA MOVE

Carlos Bacca's agent will meet with West Ham on Tuesday to discuss the Milan striker's possible move to Upton Park this summer, says La Gazzetta dello Sport.

ISCO TO DISCUSS REAL FUTURE

STOKE NEAR SOBHI DEAL

Sky sources understand that Stoke are close to completing a deal to sign the highly rated Egypt winger Ramadan Sobhi.

The 19-yr-old helped Al Ahly to the Egyptian title last season under former Spurs manager Martin Jol.

It's thought Stoke will pay an initial fee of around £2.5m, but then immediately loan the player out to another European club, in order for him to gain some experience and to help him meet the UK criteria for a work permit.

Sobhi has played six times for his country in the last 12 months, which falls short of the Home Office demands.

Saido Berahino has rejected a four-year contract offer from West Brom, according to Sky sources.

Berahino has has just 12 months left on his current deal and we understand the striker's preference is to leave the Hawthorns this summer.

MBAMBA JOINS PORT VALE

Sky Bet League One side Port Vale have signed winger Christopher Mbamba on a two-year contract.

The 24-year-old, who previously represented Norwegian side Hamarkameratene, played in Vale's 4-0 friendly win over Newcastle Town on Saturday.

Mbamba started his career at IFK Goteborg before enjoying spells with Alta IF, Medkila IL and Qviding FIF.
