The upcoming season

Sun Jul 10, 2016 7:30 am

Anybody have high hopes going into the new season?

I'm interested to see what trollope's philosophy will be.

However I can't see us breaking the bank on any signing's and as it stands our team isn't good enough to compete for a play off place.

Is everybody expecting another mid table finish?

He will either lift spirits and we achieve play offs at least, or we could slip down. The squad we currently have can get promo, they just got to be played right :bluebird:

I am hoping that Paul Trollope will play a system that will play to our strengths with plenty of exciting football pushing down the wings and forward.

I am going to give our new manager my full support but 2016/17 season may be a very tough one considering the teams we have in the Championship this year.

The big advantage is that he knows the bulk of the team and their strengths and weaknesses.

Hope we can keep Gunna and he uses those long throws of his. :bluescarf:

Hope Lex Immers, Kenneth Zohore and Frédéric Gounongbe prove to be a lethal combination and we get a tricky winger.

Hope David Marshall stays and maybe bigger crowds with a display of good football ?

Overall pretty optimistic but I'm always optimistic in July/August and need to be supporting CCFC over many a year !! :)

Blooobirds Forever !!! :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Perhaps Trollope will have Bale in disguise -would we get away with it? We WOULD STORM the league :laughing6:

Marshall

Connelly Morrison Manga
Fabio John
Gunnarson

Pilkington. Ralls

Immers

Zahore

Subs. Whitts,o'keefe,peltier,dikajico, noone, etc.

Not a bad team without any signings.

Think people underestimate the quality in our squad already.

Mid table area I expect nothing more if we get it then that's a bonus but you cant expect to cost cut all over again and achieve more in realistic terms, like ive said before the club are not going to come out and say "We are aiming for mid table" :bluescarf:

Unless we sign a good creative midfield playmaker and an attacking midfielder/winger we will finish mid table imo. And if fred isnt any good we will also need a goalscorer or mid table finish

Much will depend on the shape of our squad at the end of the transfer window and also Trollope's ability to manage at a level higher than he's done before.

I think we may lose a few members of the squad before the season starts and with little or no money to replace them with proven quality it looks like there may be a number of gambles being taken by the club on cheap overseas players.

All clubs are looking to find a Payet or Mahrez when signing overseas players and Immers I think will be a big player for us next season. Our recent record with overseas players has not been great though.

I've a feeling that we'll be comfortably mid table next season but rarely threatening promotion or relegation.

He has to hit play offs atleast to be considered a right move in the sacking of slade,

After wales being so good at the Euro's I think I'm going to find watching us an anticlimax, I definitely don't expect money to be spent and with the teams and money being spent we'll do well to finish top 10

Nothing wrong with way club is being run except that eventually luck runs out and end up in a relegation fight, we just need to be careful get balance right! Mid table finish at best but hope for better. :old:
