OLDHAM GO FOR ROBINSON

Oldham have finally ended their search for a new first-team manager with the appointment of Steve Robinson.

The 41-year-old will leave his position as Motherwell assistant manager and Northern Ireland first-team coach to take over at Boundary Park.

Oldham chairman Simon Corney, told the club's official website: "We are delighted to welcome Steve to the club as our first-team manager.

"He has a wealth of experience, both at club and international level and impressed me and the board straight away.

"He has an outstanding reputation in the game and we believe his dynamic, methodical and thorough approach will quickly translate into success on the pitch.”

GORNELL PENS ACCRINGTON DEAL

Terry Gornell has signed a new two-year deal at Accrington Stanley, the Sky Bet League Two club have confirmed.

The striker has put pen to paper on a contract which will keep him at the Wham Stadium until 2018.

OLDHAM SIGN LAW

New Oldham manager Steve Robinson has made his first signing bringing Motherwell full-back Josh Law to the club.

The 26-year-old has signed a one-year deal at Boundary Park.
