' Adam Le Fondre left behind! '

Le Fondre has confirmed on his Twitter that he hasn't travelled with the training camp and has been left behind. I'm hoping this means he will be departing our club shortly?

Cardiff City striker Adam Le Fondre left behind to train with under-21s as first-team squad attend training camp

Friday 8th July 2016

The 29-year-old has stayed in Cardiff while Paul Trollope's squad travelled to Champney's Hotel and Spa resort

Cardiff City forward Adam Le Fondre is training with the club's development side as the rest of the first team squad prepare for the new season at a training camp in Leicetsershire.

The 29-year-old has stayed in Cardiff while Paul Trollope's squad travelled to Champney's Hotel and Spa resort, as they did last pre-season.

The first team officially reported back for pre-season training on July 4, with Trollope flying back and forth from Wales duty in France during the past week.

However, Le Fondre does not appear to be part of his plans after returning from his loan spell with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The former Reading striker had been shipped out on loan by Russell Slade after he fell down the pecking order at the club.

Expressing his desire to be closer to his family, Le Fondre has wanted to move back up into the north of England.

Loan spells at Bolton Wanderers and Wolves have seen him score 11 goals in 43 appearances after failing to make any sort of impact following his signing by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2014.

Is it not yet known where the Stockport-born striker will spend next season, or if he will be involved when the squad travel to Gloucestershire as they kick-off pre-season against Forest Green Rovers this coming Wednesday.

They normally do this if a player shows the wrong attitude. Why he doesn't knuckle down and show clubs looking to sign a striker that he's worth it only he knows. He might be sulking but still happy to take his pay check. Can't blame Tan for not trusting managers to spend his money wisely after signing this complete waste of space.I don't suppose he's willing to do the contract canceled by mutual consent thing.I expect he would get a club closer to home in no time because he has ability but I guess he puts his paycheck first.

Sadly very true. It really annoys me when players show no respect for the expense incurred in their signing. £3m and months later he wants that written off so he can go somewhere else closer to home.

Well if he wants to repay the club he can go today.

If he wants to come out in public and chat shit whilst he's still under contract then don't expect a second chance. That and he's clearly not good enough. Bye bye

Really funny about Vinnie the Red not trusting managers when he was responsible for the signing of Velikonja!

A lot of assumptions, trollope hasn't been around so how would he know if he has been sulking.

And what's wrong with putting his paycheck first, I think most of us would.

yes, when you are living in the real world on £30k a year, perhaps. its a slightly different situation when you are on 7 figures, though. especially when we're talking about a 'job' that involves training a couple of hours each day. if he's playing for money, fine, never had any problems with a player being open that he plays for money, only when a player lies about it, and doesnt earn it.

we also paid a 7 figure fee to get him here. the club have a right to expect nothing less than 100% commitment. players are ostracised like this only if they are acting up.

If my memory serves me well he always tried and got in the right positions just couldn't finish a packet of crisps.id never question his attitude with us but I'd certainly question his quality as a 'Championship proven striker' :old:

Assumptions, yes guilty as charged but so are you. In the absence of the facts people make assumptions(its an internet thing) like you thinking because Trollope hasn't been around he doesn't know exactly whats going on.He could be a real asset to us but I assume because he's left out of first preparations his attitude must be iffy.

Have players even returned yet? He has been left out on not much surely?

Only thing I know is when he played for us he ran his balls off, despite no services under a terrible manager and formation. Imo every game he played he has had an excellent attitude on the pitch. He seemed to start every game under slade and was then told he was being sent out on loan. No doubt he was miffed but nothing to suggest he is a bad one.
Yes we over paid but his bad attitude seems to be message board talk. Never seen anything to suggest it on the pitch.
